The BBC, realising they haven't betrayed Scotland quite hard enough yet, announce they are scrapping the BBC Scotland channel for good measure

    1. I checked earlier this morning and there was no new information at that point.

  2. Accepting the fact that this latest debacle clearly demonstrates just how much the 'National Broadcaster' has always treated and will always treat Scotland as a second-class region of Greater Englandshire, it surely is a blessing in disguise that the utter sham of a 'Scottish' BBC channel is put in its well deserved pine box.

I am absolutely sure that far more than half our citizens will not shed any tears at its wake.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

    1. Nationalist drivel.
      Oh dear!

    2. Agree the British nationalist drivel is just that.

    3. Yes, the British nationalist tripe broadcast into our homes by the BBC really is drivel.

    4. Always amazed by the lack of self awareness of British Nationalists and they truly are nationalists in the sense that Great Britain is better than every other nation. As opposed to people wishing for Scottish self determination

    1. Aye all very well and good but they still demand a license fee

    2. 1.50 Only for live TV, if you don’t watch their propaganda don’t pay for it!

    3. That changed some years ago 2.27. You have to get a licence even if you only watch catch-up on iPlayer or download any BBC content, including news clips, weather etc on the website.

    4. There's no right of entry to any Scottish home to collection agents of the BBC, you can just close the door and they'll go away, they must prove you are accessing their product, get a warrant (which is practically impossible) and must be accompanied by Police Scotland to serve and enforce that
And Police Scotland will not use the waste of officers time to do that

    5. 3.08 I am talking about not watching any BBC live anti Scottish propaganda “news clips”! As for the weather, you can get more accurate reports on line or better still, look oot a windae!

  4. Anon at 3.55 is correct. Tell them to go away and that if they attempt to force their way in you will use reasonable force to reject them. They will back down.

  5. No taxation without representation.
I don’t have a TV licence and the list of broadcast platforms they make you swear to abstain from is ridiculous. It should be a simple equation. No license fee = no BBC programming. They make you swear to forgo ITV, Chanel 4, etcetera. I fail to see the economic linkage between a license fee and Chanel 4, let alone Netflix.
The prisons are already full to bursting. Benefit fraudsters go un-prosecuted because they can’t be jailed and they can’t repay the embezzled money. The idea that they will take material action against non-payment of the license fee is fanciful. They already have four thousand geriatric “terrorists” on the Court dockets which they can’t prosecute. Stand firm. Refuse to pay the Propaganda tax.

'Jailed former Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) leader Jeffrey Donaldson is being investigated by London police about an alleged rape of a woman inside the Houses of Parliament, the BBC can reveal.'

Dear oh dear oh dear, Unionism going from bad to worse.

    2. Whatever the crime Murrell was jailed for it its not = to Donaldsons convictions and now potentially further allegations while at the Westminster

    3. Conflating a peadophile with an embezzler demonstrates a very poor sense of morality . Either that or you’re just a troll like to tell us which is correct ?

    4. @7:08 You could've just said that Donaldson's crimes don't reflect on unionism, which would have been true. Instead for some reason you decided to make it a contest of which side's crimes are worse, which...isn't the wisest playing field to choose.

  7. But is the SNP actually withering on the vine? What about some conference gossip? Is JS a dead man walking?

  8. It, very obviously, annoys all the right people that the SNP are back in power for a truly astounding 5th consecutive term which as from next year, sets a new record of continuous governance not only in the UK but across Europe.

'Withering on the vine' eh? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

    1. People only vote for the SNPee because of the independence nonsense. It’s certainly not for the charlatans record in government!

    2. John Swinney has led the SNP impressively, with a steady hand on the tiller, such that the party's fortunes have swung full circle.

    3. So he's all at sea, going in circles.

      Really?

Most yoons and folk who don't like the SNP, always shout that Scots who vote for SNP in elections are definitely NOT voting for Independence.

      So......which one is it, pal?

    5. If the SNP - who actually WON the election hands down - are 'all at sea' we can then safely assume that all the poor we'd Yoon parties who lost that election ard sinking without trace.

    6. If only Donald Dewar had implemented a fully proportional voting system for Holyrood, the unionists would now have a majority between them and the SNP would have been out. But no, he had to keep an undemocratic FPTP element because he thought it would favour Labour, so now the SNP are in power for the gazillionth year and there's a huge pro-independence majority. Cheers, Don!

  10. 'Zionists Are the Enemies of the Jews’:

'The Jewish Author of a New Book on Anti-Zionism, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Benjamin Moser, makes the case for why Zionism isn't Judaism, and how it is being used to replace Judaism while oppressing and displacing Palestinians.'

I completely agree with the Jewish author.

I felt very surprised that a government minister came all the way from London to Aberdeen to tell us we need to control our resources and be independent from outside influences. I then realised that she thought our resources belonged to her. An easy mistake because it happens all the time that government ministers from one country visit another one to lay claim to their resources, like when Russians eye up Ukraine.

  12. In an Independent Scotland, we will have our own national Scottish Broadcasting Corporation and its staff must, by at least a majority, reflect the views of our (once again) self-governing country, that Independence is the (Global Norm) accepted status-quo for Scotland.
TV Coverage of Scotland's national sport-teams will be compulsory, as will comprehensive coverage of the Scottish Parliament's proceedings - not just FMQs.
The terms 'we' and 'our' will be used by broadcasters to refer primarily only to Scotland itself.
Completely in-line with almost every other independent country on the planet.

  13. All staff employed by the Scottish Broadcasting Corporation must refer to the country south of the Border as 'Engerlandshire' or 'Brexshitland' and will be strictly trained not to laugh too loud when doing so.

  14. In an Indeoendent Scotland, 'Friends of Israel' will be a Proscribed Organisation and support for them will be a criminal offence.

  15. In an independent Scotland, yoons will be able to register as a 'protected species' and get free treatment for depression 😂😂😂
