To use the 1979 Referendum as a reference point to justify an argument that Scotland is part of a voluntary union is beyond my comprehension.

DeleteIn a major reset, Burnham is going to concentrate on domestic, economic concerns (Starmer was infamously disinterested in everything except Israel and Ukraine). The dividends for Labour are already showing in the polls. The people of the UK were scunnered by Starmer’s (Permanent State) complete indifference to their daily struggles.
ReplyDeleteWhen Holyrood reconvenes at the end of this month, it must be ready to meet Burnham head on. The UK government will begin to start bailing out the English water companies, starting with Thames Water. That is to say the UK taxpayer will pump billions into these financial scams which for decades have funnelled profits into shareholders dividends and parent companies while allowing their infrastructure to fall apart.
The CFO of Thames Water was given a covert £1 million signing on fee. The CEO received a 14% increase in pay last year to a total of £1.63 million.
The CEO of Anglian Water received £1.9 million last year, including a £500,000 “retention fee” despite a supposed ban on bonuses from the Water Regulator.
The CEO of Yorkshire Water received £1.3 million in basic salary plus another £1.3 million in “consultancy fees” from the parent company (another fragrant breach on the ban on bonuses).
When Burnham starts directing tax payers money to bail out these criminal enterprises, Swinney must be ready to demand commensurate funding for Scotland under Barnett consequentials.
Hassan isn't Scottish for a start, he lives in British journalist land which is an English enclave far far away from Scotland
