ReplyDeleteIt is not really weird. It is merely what is expected by the self serving colonial mindset of the elite. The choose what rules to follow or not or make up on the hoof.
ReplyDelete... ah! Yes James, but the English "don't do Irony" .... or certainly don't acknowledge their participation in it. Since the end of the War, vast reserves of resources (oil & gas primarily) have been discovered under the seabed within the Falklands Territorial sea limits .... which I would suggest is the real reason for this "our territory, our people" response. I'd be seriously surprised if it was not (clandestinely) known way back then !! .... it's just another honeypot to be exploited.
