Yet ANOTHER poll shows a pro-independence majority as natty Norstat (formerly known as Panelbase) join the 2026 party

Before anyone says anything, yes, I know I screwed up and randomly started referring to Norstat as "Panelbase" midway through the video.  I haven't got time to re-record it at the moment, so just suspend disbelief and call it nostalgia.  I've tried to rescue myself with the clarification in the title.

Scot Goes Pop: The Final Fundraiser is underway (you can read more about why I anticipate it being the final one HERE) and it's already a bit over halfway towards its target figure of £1700.  A million thanks to everyone who has donated so far.  Card donations can be made at the GoFundMe page HERE, or if you prefer to cut out the middle-man, direct PayPal donations can be made to my PayPal email address, which is:   jkellysta@yahoo.co.uk

  1. On the same day, the BBC reports:
“Israeli demolition teams … have begun tearing down the headquarters of the UN's Palestinian refugee agency … protected under international conventions.”.
    and
“ A Palestinian children's football club in the occupied West Bank faces imminent demolition despite an international campaign to save it.”.
As recently as yesterday, UEFA refused to consider putting expulsion of the Israeli Football Association to a vote.
Never mind. Today, the legislature in the Swiss canton of Vaud which plays host to UEFA will vote to initiate a staged process which could see UEFA stripped of its tax exempt status.

Campbell has once again been mocking the anti Israel hunger strikers in England’s jail. He really is a very unpleasant person who has no qualms about supporting the fascist Israeli government murdering children, carrying out ethnic cleansing and colonialism. A hefty list of evil actions the world can do without.

He was correct though in labelling Sturgeon the Betrayer just as I am right in labelling Swinney as John the Redactor.

No, unlike you I do NOT agree that “ women are horrible people that ruin everything”.
I see you still cannae bring yourself to use a full stop at the end of your moronic sentences.

If there was a school for trolls this numpty would be the dunce sitting in the corner wearing the hat with a big D for dunce on it.
You really need to try harder.

  3. YouGov, public attitudes to (presumptive) US seizure of Greenland, field work 15 - 16 Jan (well out of date), sample population 2,046.
Given four active options, vast majority of public favour middle ground (exert diplomatic means only / engage in trade sanctions) with a relatively even split between the two.
On the two outer margin options (shrug and dae nuthin’ / try to take back Greenland by force), the public favour force over inaction by almost three to one (note; these two options combined are only favoured by one third of respondents).
With grim predictability supporters of RefUK buck the trend, and favour shrug and dae nuthin’ over force by more than two to one.
Will Nigel’s army of rabid British patriots show the same degree of insouciance towards American imperial expansion when Trump turn his gaze towards the Falklands?

  4. On CNBC news one US commentator referred to Europeans as bug and leak eaters! Such is the quality of some US commentators.

Just listen to the Britnats prattling on about how the future of the people of Greenland and even the Chagos islands should be determined by themselves not others. Scotland nae chance say the Britnats. What hypocrites and liars they are. Yet still the SNP leadership think they can trust these people to recognise and respect what the people of Scotland vote for. They didnae recognise our vote to stay in the EU 10 years ago. The SNP leadership have been serving up promises that are lies dressed up as carrots since 2016 and still the numpties lap it up munching away at the carrots. We are treated as a de facto colony of England. A colony has no right to self determination. You have to break the chains. Muttering by the SNP that there is a democratic deficit is pathetic and the mark of devolutionists.

  6. YouGov give a non geographical breakdown of voting intentions by demographic groups. Bumper population sample 17,230, field work 9 - 14 Jan.
Greens have the largest support of any party in the age group, under 30’s. A whopping 37% in 18 to 24 year olds.
As this polling exercise is intended to inform of trends for a forthcoming UK GE, it’s curious that 16 & 17 year olds aren’t included. The UK government started pushing that reform through parliament last summer, and presumably even they can get it on the Statute Book for the next GE.
The fledgling Your Party is nowhere to be seen.
Jeremy Corbyn is working on his next book; “How not to launch a new political party”.
A companion piece to Nigel Farage’s; “How to disguise a limited company as a political party”.

  7. Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper won’t engage with Trump’s Board of Peace because of PUTIN!!!
Her predecessor David Lammy was more than happy to shake hands with genocidal war criminal Netanyahu.
Beneath the propaganda, bluster, and fury from both sides, the conflict in Ukraine has been conducted fairly carefully by both sides. Civilians haven’t been directly targeted to any great extent. Civilian casualties have been low particularly in recent months. There have been regular exchanges of fallen soldiers, and occasional exchanges of wounded soldiers.
Contrast that to the 4K, live-streamed genocide being perpetrated by Netanyahu in Gaza.
I don’t take issue with Cooper’s decision not to cooperate with Trump”s Board of Peace, but her reasoning is nauseating.

  8. The World's Press seem to have gone into hiding on the Orange Blob's mental and physical health decline which was on full display at Davos.

We were treated to a rambling, incoherent, mendacious, gibbering, self-agrandising, bullying, threatening and completely rambling set of disconnected statements, topped off by a 5 yr old's failure to even properly identify the most talked about country on the planet, Greenland.

Trump's cognitive decline is as stark as it gets, and yet virtually none of the international news agencies or broadcasters really comment on it.
In fact most normalise it as if there is 'nothing to see here'.

When it was Biden who was showing frailties, the media, quite rightly, homed in on it as he was the most powerful leader in the world at the time.

Trump seems to get a pass, though.

Does fear of Trump litigation now mean that almost the entire western media is too cowed to state the simple fact that he is completely unfit to be POTUS?

He is a deluded deranged demented danger to the rest of the world, yet the big brave journalists simply ignore that fact.

In local news, SNP seem to be gathering steam ahead of the May Election and Reform are going backwards as a political force in Scotland. Both occurences are good for Scots.

As Farage gets more and more exposed to public glare, the more and more the decent non-racist non-fascist public turn away from him.

    Again, good for Scots.

  9. Trump’s latest brain fart, claiming that non-American, NATO troops took a back seat in Afghanistan couldn’t be further from the truth. A regular complaint from US Special Forces personnel on YouTube, is that they had to stay in base at night due to safety concerns, while the SAS & SBS went out on patrol.
Trump seems intent on making enemies even within his own MAGA base.

Anon troll must be one of the regular lowlife liars from WGD. I don’t tell anyone who to vote for.
The fact that I said 6 years ago that the SNP would not deliver a referendum during the current Holyrood 5 year term has been shown to be correct. Other numpties like this anon claimed the SNP would deliver indyref2. The SNP are like the Traitors conning the gullible numpties.
Vote for who you want but don’t expect the SNP or Greens to do anything about independence.
