Through their craven silence on Venezuela, the leaders of European countries may be about to discover for themselves the true meaning of "FAFO" in respect of Greenland

Scot Goes Pop: The Final Fundraiser is underway (you can read more about why I anticipate it being the final one HERE) and it's already a bit over halfway towards its target figure of £1700.  A million thanks to everyone who has donated so far.  Card donations can be made at the GoFundMe page HERE, or if you prefer to cut out the middle-man, direct PayPal donations can be made to my PayPal email address, which is:   jkellysta@yahoo.co.uk

  1. Greenland is a Danish dependant territory. The Danish Secret Service bugged Angela Merkel’s phone on behalf of the American NSA. Mair fool them, the Great Satan knows no gratitude.

  2. Everywhere claims to have Rare Earth Minerals, Greenland actually has them in concentrations which have been exploited for a couple of decades now. There was a documentary about a Swiss, alpine climbing team that spent two, or three months at the height of the Artic summer running a shaft into the side of a mountain, and extracting the ore. They made enough cash in those few short weeks to finance their lifestyle for the rest of the year.

  3. Stephen Miller, and J D Vance will mangle history, and concoct some claimed, historical precedent for grabbing Greenland. When Germany invaded Denmark, and Norway, the British occupied the Faroe Islands, and Iceland. The Norwegian Royal family were in exile in the UK at the time, so the Faroe Islands occupation was a formality with the Head of State supporting the occupation.
The Danish Royal family didn’t manage to escape capture. They remained in Denmark under Nazi rule. They did however oppose the German invasion, and tacitly approved of the British seizure of Iceland. The British fairly quickly handed over the garrisoning of Iceland to America. Miller, and Vance will butcher this episode in history, citing wartime necessity, and precedence.

Or, Donald will just say "those Greenland guys had better watch their asses." Followed by "We love you. We're coming for you, baby."

Creepy Vance will hand him the lube.

  4. Human wheelie bin of rancid food waste, Elon Musk has welcomed the events in Venezuela. He wants to get his repulsive paws on any Rare Earth Minerals there. He also welcomed the failed Military coup in Bolivia, a coup of years back, which was supported by elite, white, gringo, fascists. He wanted to get his mitts on Bolivia’s massive lithium reserves.
If American goes ahead and annexes Greenland (and I think it’s an odds on outcome), pity those folk in Europe with a Tesla. There’ll be mair key scratches than paintwork on the thing after a few weeks.
Not that I’d condone that sort of thing.

  5. Deputy Leader of Reform UK, Richard Tice supports the American outrage in Venezuela. The Bath bigot takes his cue from Tice. They have much in common. They both live in a different country to the one they profess to care about (Tice lives in Dubai).

  7. You really got to laugh at the schoolkid antics of the Bath bag of wind and the simpletons who still follow him.

In his latest rant against his hated SNP, believe it or not, he has verbally exploded because Swinney has announced a Bank Holiday for Scots on Monday 15th June after our first World Cup game the previous day (Sunday 14th).
As most Bank Holidays normally fall on Mondays to extend the weekend, you would have thought no eyebrows would be raised about this one but no, Campbell is stamping his wee feet because he thinks it should have been on the previous Friday as he expects Scotland to lose the Sunday game.

    His optimism abounds.

The depressing little turd also suggests that our FM will need to 'beg' permission from the monarch to make it happen as Swinney does not have that power under devolution, when in reality, all Scottish FMs must use the formal route through the Privy Council for royal assent on these matters and it would normally pass on the nod in any case.

The fact that Campbell has devoted a whole site article to nothing more than his imitation of a 5 yr old having a melt-down tantrum about next to nothing, just shows how far that gibbering clown has fallen from his hayday.

He is now just another skanky snot in a handkerchief already brimming with other green slime.

    Pitiful to watch.

    1. The term Rare Earths is bit misleading as they’re not that rare. Australia and China for instance, have plenty. It’s a bit of a red herring when discussing Venezuela or Greenland

  9. Unlikely that USA will try and kidnap the Chinese leader though. It at times like these mortality is actually a good thing for tyrants.

  10. Trump is the epitome of a coward and a bully.
He shits bricks when confronted with a strong leader of a powerful country who stands up to him, but picks on the smaller and less powerful ones who cannot do that.

    1. A coward and a bully who has the deadliest, best equipped, most powerful military in the world.

Why? Because the American people were led to believe that his opponent was in the bag for trans.

It doesn’t matter until it does.

  12. YouGov, Nicolás Maduro kidnap attitudes, field work 5th January.
Excluding don’t knows, Net 42% of British public condemn the kidnapping.
The pattern is the same across all sub-divisions. Region, social class, age, gender, political affiliation. With one predictable exception.
Supporters of RefUK fed on a diet of GB News propaganda support American imperialism.
The dumb followers of Farage live in a life of delusion set in the 1950’s. They believe the “special relationship” codswallop.
If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu. And Europe most definitely ain’t at the table.

  13. I might have egg on my face in the next few days, but I'm pretty sure the Greenland stuff is just trolling. Illegally overturning the government of a Latin American country to seize its resources is well within the Overton window of normal US adventurism. Invading a democratic member of the EU and NATO with lots of white people in it would risk a serious backlash, even from Europe's craven leaders

  14. Latest poll on Scottish attitude to Farage finds that 64% think he is a racist, with only 36% saying he is not
    (DKs removed).

Great that the vast majority of us Scots can see right through Farage's waffle to the real racist filth beneath.

  16. I would miss The National if it disappeared but the "Scottish town", "Scottish beach", "Scottish poet" type headlines really annoy. Its front page today has a headline down at the bottom stating "Emergency demonstration takes place in Scottish city". Why can't they just say it's Glasgow, for God's sake?? How many people in this disunited kingdom don't know what or where Glasgow is?

    1. It's a form of soft clickbait. People want to know which town or city is being referred to, so check the article just for that.

    2. It's for search engine ratings - and the National does it well.
