The year Scotland swung in favour of independence: an average of all polls in 2025 shows a Yes majority

Scot Goes Pop: The Final Fundraiser is underway (you can read more about why I anticipate it being the final one HERE) and it's already pretty close to halfway to its target figure of £1700.  A million thanks to everyone who has donated so far.  Card donations can be made at the GoFundMe page HERE, or if you prefer to cut out the middle-man, direct PayPal donations can be made to my PayPal email address, which is:   jkellysta@yahoo.co.uk

  1. The front pages this morning are hoaching full o’ stories about the Egyptian dude that Starmer welcomed into the UK, and his (sometimes abhorrent) social media posts.

The Times quotes an anonymous Minister condemning their own colleagues.
An anonymous “senior Labour MP” says; “Letting in a (man) with a history of rampant … anti-Zionism … is ridiculous …”.
So, criticising Zionism should get you stripped of your Citizenship now. Quite an act of Trumpian grovelling to a foreign power.

Who is this Labour Minister that seeks to maximise Starmer’s woes, and benefit from them by speaking to the Tory press (who do you think you’re kidding Wes Streeting, everyone knows it’s you)?
Who is this Israel First, Labour MP who puts fealty to Zionism before loyalty to the Labour Party (don’t be so bashful Luke Akehurst, we know it’s you)?

My political prediction for 2026. Starmer will be a skid mark on the Y-fronts of history a week after the May elections. And that ain’t a difficult feat of projection to make.

    1. The problem with his decade-old comments was him saying that people should be murdered.

    2. Well, OK, but if you have a problem with that, you also have to permanently denounce Donald Trump, who has actually carried out extra-judicial killings of people on Venezuelan vessels. He seems to think murdering people is fine, and he is our "ally", we're told.

    3. Anon at 9.37 am. What exactly did he say? And in what context? IDF, who are murdering people, run the risk of being killed. They deserve to be. What is your point?

    4. Removing Starmer against his will is a little trickier than the MPs pulling the EMERGENCY EJECT LEADER lever. Deathly unpopular Labour leaders tend to dig in and stick around for eternity. The NEC decides and Starmer has them stuffed with loyalists. Only they can knife him in the back.

Besides: who will it be next? Streeting's gagging for it openly in public, but how does he win a leadership contest? And can the NEC rewrite the rules again to deny another leftist candidate from winning the overwhelming backing of the (disgusting socialists!) party membership?

All I’m predicting is an easy win for Sir John Swinney, Scotland's future longest serving First Minister, continuing under Prime Reichsführer Farage. Whether Alex No Scots Please We're British Cole-Hamilton will be deputy or Wee Green Ginger Lad is all the voters will decide.

  2. Most of the polls asking the independence question are weighted to the 2014 referendum vote which ignores those who never voted as being too young to vote. This demographic is mostly pro-independence.

  3. It matters not one jot because under this SNP administration we will not get independence as they haven’t got a clue how to go about it.

  4. But John Swinney wants to be FM until 2031.

    1. Scotland will still have a political leader under independence. Not sure what your point is.

  5. We need to be ready to absorb a 5% swing towards the status quo on actual referendum day (as these things generally do).

    1. I'm not so sure this time. Project Fear and the No campaign in general has never stopped.

    1. The irony is that little did Beckett know Vladimir and Elon would one day become the child king's closest henchmen.

  7. I see the Anti-SNP Bath Bigot has devoted a huge 50% of his latest diatribe on next year's Scottish election to his latest squeeze Big Nigel, while cramming in all the other political parties into the other half.

His infatuation with Farage is now as embarrassing as it is obvious.

He even managed to slag off the WM-designed voting system in Holyrood for seemingly giving the SNP too many seats, while simultaneously saying no such thing about the potential seat-tally for Reform under exactly the same system which he seemed very happy about.

The neon sign stuck to Campbell's forehead is shining out its Reform logo ever more brightly as May gets closer.

All that is still missing is his signed photo of his new idol and his wee Reform ra-ra skirt and pompoms.
