The new Jeremy Corbyn / Zarah Sultana party: what will it be called, how popular will it be, and will it help to deliver Scottish independence?

For tonight's audio commentary, I turn my attention to the 'soft launch' of the new Jeremy Corbyn / Zarah Sultana radical left party.  You can listen via the embedded player below, or at the direct YouTube link, or at Soundcloud.

After you've finished listening, I'd be very grateful if you hit the 'subscribe' button and the 'like' button on YouTube, because I'm trying to build my channel up.

Also, just a reminder that the fundraising post will be staying pinned to the top of the blog for a prolonged spell, so whenever you visit over the coming days please remember to scroll down for the newest content.

  1. Robin McAlpine appears to think that the new Corbyn party might be sympathetic towards Scottish independence.

    1. Corbyn has publicly acknowledged the right of self determination. The idea that he and his new party will ever be in a position to do anything about it I find faintly ridiculous. He might cause some damage to Labour in marginal seats in the FPTP system but that’s about it. And there is every likelihood of schism and disintegration within a relatively short time.

  2. McAlpine "thinks"!! Don't make me laugh. Another Left wing party doomed to failure. Still the trotskies will jump on the bandwagon to form the "We have been here before Party" .Independence for everybody except Scotland.

  4. Well, I'm still waiting on the SNP delivering Scottish independence. The current state of Scottish politics is the real hindrance.

They'll deliver indy once they design ferries to fit the actual harbour.

    1. It’s the people that will deliver. Unfortunately too many are like you.

    2. The people will "deliver" how? What are we supposed to do when Scotgov is so uninterested? Wave for Trump?

  5. OT something needs to be done about the way the SFA handle football clubs in Scotland. There are people deemed fit to run them when it's obvious they aren't. There's got to be more account taken of the fans and their feelings. The situation at my club Hamilton is starting to have a Third Lanark feel about it and there's nothing we can do. Surely the Scottish Government should have some influence on this? And if they haven't they should get it. Look at the power WM has on football down south.

  6. Events have already overtaken Jeremy and Zarah's plans. Now that European mainstream media has pulled it's finger out of it's arse and is actually reporting the horrors in Gaza the politicians are sure to act.

  7. Third Lanark's demise happened largely because their owner was a crook.
