Nominations for Alba NEC election

This is a message for fellow members of the Alba party.  As you probably know, all of the elected positions within the party - leader, depute leader, office bearers and ordinary members of the National Executive Committee - will come up for re-election shortly.  I was lucky enough to be elected as one of the eight ordinary NEC members last year, and I'm going to attempt to stand for the NEC again, but to do that I'll need to clear the hurdle of the nominations process.  In order to make the ballot paper, I'll need one of the following -

A nomination from a LACU at a properly constituted meeting

OR

Nominations from ten party members

I can't really predict whether I have any chance of being nominated by a LACU, and to the best of my knowledge there's no imminently planned meeting of my own local LACU (unless I've accidentally fallen off the North Lanarkshire mailing list or something - it's all gone very quiet on that front recently!), so with the deadline being quite tight I'm going to see if there are ten individual members willing to nominate me directly.  The procedure is different from last year, because I have to fill in a form with a list of the members (or the LACU) nominating me.

So if you're an Alba member and you'd like to nominate me, the way to do it is to contact me directly.  My contact email address is:  icehouse.250@gmail.com

As I said at this time last year, whatever you may think about me, there's no way anyone could ever accuse me of being an unknown quantity - my views have all been well-rehearsed in public and there'll be no surprises further down the line.  If you'd like those views to at least be part of the choice on offer to Alba members at the conference in October, I'd be really gratefully for a nomination.  And rest assured that if I don't hit the magic number quickly, I'll keep plugging away until the deadline!

  3. The UK is a total shithouse of a country run by shitty politicians and big business who do not give a shit about its people. I include Sturgeon and her gang in that category of shitty politicians. On C4 news tonight she tells the Britnat interviewer that she couldn't fulfill her promise of delivering a Scottish energy company made in 2017 due to Covid. Absolute bullshit once again by Sturgeon. The English may have actual shit in their beaches, seas and rivers but we continually get it coming in floods from our media and politicians.

If Robertson, Swinney and all the other AIM nutters are offended by my use of the word shit to describe their Tory pals and Sturgeon then tough shit.

Seagreen offshore wind farm going live today with electricity generation and we get shit all benefit. Just as will be the case with all the other massive offshore farms in the future unless we are independent and there is shit all chance of that happening as long as Sturgeon and her shitty gang are running the show.

We are in deep shit now - someone please pass the Domestos.

The SNP need a deep clean to clean out the shitty unionists.

    1. Just like Englands coastline the GERS report is more shit from England served up by their shitty little helpers in Scotland - namely the Scottish Government.
Meanwhile on WGD the numpties agree and the mad liar Irish Skier posts that GERS is crap but the pathetic numpties can't bring themselves to ask why does a political party that is supposed to be for independence keep producing this propaganda document each year that the Britnats just love.

  4. John REDACTOR MAN Swinney - what a disgrace.

On BBC Reporting Scotland today Swinney just accepts the GERS deficit as fact. Only a Britnat would do that. The man is a complete and utter disgrace. Once again the SNP give the Britnats a great big helping hand as Alister Jack then pontificates after Swinney about how the UK treasury is helping out poor Scotland. The SNP working hand in glove with the BBC and the Britnats and people expect them to deliver independence - you must be mad.

    1. Well the Bathtub Admiral on WGD also thinks GERS is just fine. Just what you would expect from someone who is a Ruth Davidson fan. Yesindyref2 the closet WGD Tory starting to open the closet door and let us see the real person. A phoney like his British hero Sturgeon.

  5. Sturgeon says she is British and the WGD numpties are going mental because other people are not happy that she identifies as British.

A numpty even thinks this is part of her secret plan to deliver independence.

Talking about plans where are we on Russell's 11 point plan? Or is that plan now covered in shit lying on the floor of Mike Russell's independence horsebox.

What a state the SNP is in. Sturgeon the saboteur is doing a great job for her fellow Britnats.

Did Michael Collins ever say he was British?

  6. All the shit going down in Scotland and what is WGD numpty Tam The Bam outraged about? Tam is outraged that his football club Greenock Morton have Alba party hoardings on display. Yep that's what he is so annoyed about. With WGD/SNP numpties like Tam about will we ever get free of Westminster?
