A solution in search of a problem

Just a quick note to let you know I have a new article on The National's website, responding to Ruth Wishart's piece that advocated tactical voting on the regional list.  You can read it HERE.

I'm hearing (as Laura Kuenssberg would say) that there is yet another Scottish poll from Panelbase currently in the field, featuring the standard independence question, voting intentions for Holyrood and Westminster, and a wide range of supplementary questions.  Some of the questions look distinctly Wings-like to me (GRA and a list party) and others don't, so I'm wondering if it's another composite survey for more than one client.

  1. Excellently put article, hopefully they'll print it in the paper too.

And to pre-empt comments saying that you are standing in the way of ISP's success before it has a chance...
    * it's perfectly legitimate to vote for the ISP if you support their policy platform and want them in Government
    * but it's a fools game to just vote for them to try and usurp unionists

You get less unionists by getting their voters to support indy - which would also make indy more likely!

    1. Unionists will vote for the Union when the occasion may arise. I will give it in ten years time maybe longer.

  3. In 2011 the SNP had a total of 69 seats (and Greens 2).

Without the SNP 16 on the list, that's 53 to the SNP + 2 Green. 55 out of 129.

18th Sep 2014 was a day like any other day under a Labour / LibDem Coalition. The Indy Ref never happened. Independence is supported by just 23% of the population, Independence is not mainstream, the SNP has 15,000 members having fallen from the 20,000 in 2011. SGP and WOS don't exist! James Kelly didn't write the article for the National, The National doesn't exist. And I didn't post this.

Mmm, think what I could have done with that 9 years of my life ...
