Robinson is just doing what the BBC allows him to do.
ReplyDeleteThe State broadcaster allows an extreme right Pro-Zionist Tory to spout the line that the overwhelmingly Pro-Zionist UK Govt and UK Media want him to spout.
They know that they have already lost most of the UK public on this (by all available polling) and are now frantically trying to ignore that fact and browbeat that same public into agreeing with their Pro-Zionist views.
But it isn't working and the more frantic they become, the more they will alienate the public.
Unsurprising to see Campbell yet again on the Zionist-Fascist side of the argument.
Him and his small cult of followers are now so far gone that they are simply not worth bothering about.
Trash
My old man recounts the summary execution of british soldiers, Arabs diplomat and peacekeepers by the Stern Gang / Irgun in the 40's. They were extreme right wingers and some became the leaders of the new state of Israel. It seems some of their progeny are still in charge and hold the same extremist views.
ReplyDeletePolanski will find himself increasingly shunned by the entryists in his own party. He'll be demonised and marginalised just like Kate Forbes was by the trans activists in the SNP.
ReplyDeleteIf the pro Palestinian cause is apparently so important to the UK public why do activists need to hijack a completely separate political movement to get their message across?
Labour will be so glad these tiresome bampots left when Corbyn got the boot.
Mr right wing religious bampot are we? Always got a interest in folks sexuality.
DeleteOk Keir
DeleteIn what sickening perverted world does being against an ongoing genocide in Gaza in which around 30,000 completely innocent children/babies have already been slaughtered, make you a "bampot'?
ReplyDeleteRobinson used deliberately doctored extracts from an interview with A S which completely changed its meaning. The BBC promoted it. That says all that needs to be said about Robinson and the BBC. In my opinion Robinson is a liar and an apologist for Genocide. The BBC are the same.

DeletePolanski is coming round to accepting that the disastrous motion on Zionism was misguided, and accepts that he ought to have been vocal in his opposition to it passing unamended. His rejected amendment sought to minimise the damage to the reputation of the Greens that has followed. The usual halfwits on here have of course been waxing lyrical about the ridiculous definition of Zionism and the one state solution the Greens now support on paper. Hopefully he can get the adopted definition amended in due course. The halfwits referred to above needn’t bother commenting on this post. It is so far above your pay grade. Until the definition is amended the Greens are open to accusations of anti semitism. I think there is a real risk that the minute grouping of anti semites that previously attached themselves to Labour have jumped across to the Greens. The Greens have to be careful. The murderous genocidal State of Israel and the equally evil IDF should be the target of criticism and action. Student politics and anti semitism should form no part of the policies of the Greens. Ditch it and ditch the definition.
ReplyDeleteThe UK Green Party is not the first institution to recognise zionism as racism. In 1973, in Resolution 3151 G, the UNGA condemned what it called an “unholy alliance” between South African racism and zionism. Two years later, the World Conference of the International Women’s Year adopted a principle that “international co-operation and peace require…the elimination of colonialism and neo-colonialism, foreign occupation, zionism, apartheid, and racial discrimination in all its forms.” A month after that, the Organisation of African Unity, predecessor to the African Union, declared “that the racist regime in occupied Palestine and the racist regime in Zimbabwe and South Africa have a common imperialist origin, forming a whole and having the same racist structure.” The Non-Aligned Movement went further, condemning “zionism as a threat to world peace and security” and calling “upon all countries to oppose this racist and imperialist ideology.” We find all of the above in the preamble to Resolution 3379, adopted by the UNGA in 1975, which determined in a pointedly simple phrase, “that zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination.” To the world’s majority, zionism has always been racist, sitting alongside the racist and apartheid structures of Rhodesia and South Africa.
DeleteDid you not read the amendment proposed by Polanski and his comments? And do you not realise that you quote authority that distinguishes between racism.and Zionism? And of course, you have a definition of Zionism that not everyone shares. As I said, the Greens need to ditch the student politics. The miniscule percentage of greens who have caused this damage have a lot to answer for but I suspect they do not care. They would rather sit on their very high horse (as they see it) than be involved in running a country. There is a real world out there. In that real world a two state solution needs to be found.
DeleteWhen you have a choice of Sudanese (the ones with the biggest genocides), Palestinians, Burmese, Congolese, Kashmiri, Ukrainians (the ones with the most dead?), Yemeni (dead heat with the Ukrainians?), etc, why do the Palestinians get chosen as imaginary pets and the others pretty much get totally ignored? Serious question - because that attitude is real and very prevalent.

Why do some morons get very upset when the Gaza Genocide by the Fascist Racist Apartheid Zionist State of Israel gets 'more' coverage than other similar atrocities in the Western Press?
ReplyDeleteThe solution is not to question the coverage and human empathy given to the Palestians in Gaza, but to encourage and demand that those other atrocities get matching coverage in the Western Media.
It is a matter of inherent humanity to empathise with the victims of Genocide wherever it occurs and to try and criticise decent human beings for doing exactly that, rather than criticise and expose those responsible for such acts, is both reprehensible and beneath contempt.
You're very good at personal abuse and anger. Try calming down a bit. You'll get no sympathy for your cause if your opening gambit is hostility.
DeleteThose who attempt to pit one Genocide against another in relation to how much coverage and human empathy is given to each, deserve all the abuse they get.

ReplyDeleteIt is a fake post trying to stir up ‘civil unrest’ in Scotland, mmm? Wonder which party could be behind that? All we need is 51% support for independence, that is called a majority and democracy!
ReplyDeleteYes 51% would obviously be a majority. It’s getting a referendum that’s the big problem though, and it’s very difficult to see a route to one anytime soon.
DeleteAnon@10:53pm, what post are you referring to regarding civil unrest?
Delete9.55 The post that I was referring to has been taken down! Don’t know why, probably because it was from reform trying to stir up trouble!

Good timing by the SNP as John Swinney is set to make a speech at the SNP conference next weekend. I was speaking to an SNP member who says he is scheduled to make a speech in which he presents a package of measures to deal with the various criticisms of government policy and to set out a clear path forward.
ReplyDeleteJohn Swinney is likely to focus on the domestic agenda, including building up policies to address cost of living.

Perhaps these British supporters of their English union would just like to own up for once and accept what they are.
The countries of people that England slaughtered then used to slaughter for them is almost endless...almost.
Then they stuck a British flag on them and called them theirs.
Only America comes close with their two atomic bombs on Japan, but the English tally of the murder of people is in fact still far higher.
In a pre Brexit opinion poll by 61% England said they would ditch Scotland to get rid of the EU, they also said they would not tolerate nuclear reactors unless they were located in Scotland by 72%.
Truly desperate stuff from anon@7:46pm.

Those racists fascists must be crushed at all costs.
John Swinney has been developing a package of well-constructed interventions to help the less well off in terms of the cost of living crisis, which he will unveil at the upcoming SNP conference. The timing could hardly be better, with the cost of living rising high on the political agenda. The conference promises to be successful and it is to be hoped that both John Swinney and the SNP will enjoy a post-conference bounce in the polls.
ReplyDeleteAI crap.
DeleteIdiot Campbell appears unable to understand what the Police are telling him in their recent letter to him. The terms of their letter are quite simple, (a bit like Campbell), but he cannot understand it. Or perhaps he can but chooses not to, because that would signal the end of that particular gravy train for him. The mouth frothers might finally realise he is taking them for a cash jingling ride, and that would never do. Cue incoming from the usual suspects, especially his great admirer IFSY.

DeleteMI5 Chief -
ReplyDelete'While the threat level change reflects the whole of the terrorist threat, the recent increase was driven in significant part by Extreme Right-Wing Terrorism. This is a complex landscape, with many subcultures. Over the last year the most marked trend has been an increase in cases where extremist versions of anti-immigration and anti-Muslim grievance are tipping into terrorist intent; we’ve dealt, for example, with would-be terrorists attempting to attack mosques and venues connected to immigration and asylum.
Extreme Right Wing Terrorism also continues to skew the young, driven by the internet. A few months ago, MI5 was investigating a radicalised Extreme Right Wing 13-year-old here in the UK.
Believe me, we wish we didn’t have to. But that investigation generated insight that enabled one of our international partners to prevent a lethal attack on their soil.
Similarly, a 16-year-old from Inverclyde recently received a ten-year prison sentence for his failed attempt to mount an attack against his local Islamic Centre.'
A 13 and a 16 yr old boy. Just 2 examples of right wing terrorism that you can find. Running rampant right enough. Clown. Go to Gaza and walk around with the Saltire and see how far you get. It’s radical Islam that’s the problem here along with the loony lefties that wouldn’t last 10 minutes under Sharia law.

Very encouraging and significant to see reported in the news this morning that John Swinney and the SNP are set to unveil the biggest push for independence in a decade at the annual conference.
ReplyDeleteThat will be welcome by SNP voters and the activist base alike.
What good will it do though, if Westminster refuses to budge on the issue?
DeleteCourtesy of his own policy, voted through at the most recent conference, he has no mandate to do.this. Only SNP votes count remember. Copyright J S.
DeleteCorrect, the 13 votes ATLS got in Aberdeen recently would have helped the push to independence.
DeleteIn recent months I’ve become increasingly pessimistic about the prospects for independence.

ReplyDelete"THE SNP are set to survey nearly 1.5 million Scots as part of what the party describes as its “biggest independence campaign” this decade."
ReplyDeletehttps://archive.is/iWddj
"Titled “Choose Scotland”, the campaign will be unveiled at the SNP 's annual conference in Aberdeen and will involve a new pro-independence party political broadcast, an independence survey delivered to nearly 1.5m people and the party’s biggest ever online ad campaign outside of an election."
This seems to me to be a genuine major drive, and in itself justification for refusing other Independence resolutions at the conference.
There is a fine line between constructive criticism and whinging negativity; I'm the first to support justified criticism of the SNP and whoever is leader and FM.
But for me it's time to put aside differences and work together to support this and make Independence happen. And as far as I'm concerned, any negative whinger who whinges just for the sake of it can just right off.
But nothing wrong with holding the SNP to this promise.
The damage has been done. Any positive results in favour of Indy will be pushed aside by the BBC and MSM, by reference to Swinney's own policy. There is no getting away from it. As for your whinger comment, I was out driving round the streets of Linwood with a megaphone chanting Vote Bruce McFie for SNP when you were probably still in nappies. So keep your snide comments to yourself. My point stands. Swinney made a huge error. He needs to accept this and change policy. Then we can move forward as part of the larger Indy movement.
DeleteWhy on earth would you think I was directing my comment at you, when it was an opening comment, not a reply to anyone?
DeleteLike many many others, I'm sick of the constant negativity. Look at the comments below the line on that article:
https://www.thenational.scot/comments/26633678/
I'm not the only person (who has supported Independence since the mid-70s) to be sick of it.
I agree Swinney's 'SNP Majority' gambit was a tactical error, but he did qualify it a bit by saying 'it was a precedented way to break the log jam by WM'.
DeleteHowever, just as with Salmond's tactical error of 'Once on a generation' descriptor of Indyref, such nuances are completely ignored by unionists, WM and the MSM.
Having said all that, I believe we must now come together as a Movement and get behind the SNP's latest drive, as there are no other credible options open to us.
We must all get behind the SNP.
DeleteJohn Swinney deserves a lot of credit for this initiative. By focusing on a quantitative survey of opinion rather than on hope and/or fear he has taken the political heat out of the issue of independence and it can be presented to the UK government in a technocratic manner as a valid sample.
DeleteAI at 1.31: "as a valid sample"
