ReplyDeleteReid was being overly contemptuous in her spitting out the word "they" , in reference to Scots, as if we were (and perhaps we are) a foreign country to her, thus it was okay for her to be abusive, dismissive and aggressive in her unprofessional attitude.
ReplyDeleteSo much for us all being Brits , that is until it comes to something like this and then the truth (disdain and contempt) comes out from what is a dominant Anglocentric UK media , who basically cares not a jot about any of us up here in Scotland.

ReplyDeleteScots Britishness will only be accepted when we are compliant with English peoples views. Stereotype Scots that pose no threat to English colonial mindsets or world views tend to do well on their payroll, as they are user friendly Scots and pose no threat. Scots who have opposing or provocative opinions are not accepted, and the English quickly descend into bigoted and sneering language. It is the way it has always been, a Unionist Scot is accepted, and Independent minded Scot is rejected. Either agree with them, or you are discriminated against.
