More polling reassurance for SNP as by-elections approach, while Greens reclaim second place GB-wide

In view of recent requests, I've also uploaded a podcast version of the above video on Soundcloud as a trial run, just to see if there's any interest in the audio-only format.  It's on Spotify too.

  1. Good as far as it goes. Greatest danger would be that the Swinney government disappoints removing the last electoral barrier to the populist/fascistic right.

    1. Hardly surprising after what happened the last time.

  4. Nicola Sturgeon is claiming that she is being subjected to misogynistic behaviour as a result of her ex husband’s criminal conduct. That is an outright lie. She is being questioned because as First Minister and Leader of the SNP she was told, directly, in the presence of others, on multiple occasions, that there were problems with the SNP finances, and she ordered SNP members to shut up and stop asking questions. She is either grossly incompetent or was deliberately avoiding the truth coming out. To play the misogynist card is utterly appalling. I now see her in an entirely different light. Dishonest, disingenuous and lacking integrity. What a legacy.

    1. Indeed, as the now infamous video showed.

    2. From control freak to playing the self pitying victim. The narcissist's playbook.
She knew about the dodgy finances and I strongly suspect there's more that she knew that we don't know yet.
It's an insult to the intelligence of those people who donated to the fund for her to pretend she didn't know.
Those who are still attempting to defend her have extremely poor judgement or are wilfully naive.

    4. Anon at 12.44 pm ... Of course she is being subjected to misogynistic behaviour. You are blind if you can't see it in amongst the various political blog posts and comments. Have a quick look at the comments below Craig Murray's blog which, in my view, is currently being wrecked by half a dozen or so posters who have taken over the comments section, spouting a combination of sweary baseless assertions and pure hatred. It would be funny if it wasn't so dire. A bunch of bozos took over WoS too, a few years ago, when "Stew" became obsessed with the trans debate. I haven't looked at WoS for almost three years, so I don't know what it's like now. I hope it doesn't happen on SGP, which I believe remains the most sincere, respectable and honest blog of them all.

    5. Anon at 6.52. Cannot decide if you are trying to be funny or are just very stupid. Stupid I suspect. Take your misogyny crap elsewhere. It’s becoming as common a falsehood as false cries of antisemitism. You do the real victims of misogyny a disservice you cretin.

    7. Anon at 8.48. Who mentioned the online sewers and online bubble? Oh you did, not me.! Your Straw man approach is both pathetic and revealing. Read my post slowly. Try to understand what is being said. You are, ironically, part of the very problem you refer to. Ask yourself why you are on the types of forum you reference. I am not. They are packed with stupid ill informed people. If that’s your thing, that’s your problem. On what I actually posted, Sturgeon’s reference in her interview was to the Newspapers and indirectly the BBC, and whilst I cannot stand either, they are raising legitimate questions about a former F M and Leader of the largest party in Scotland. They are raising valid points which only the intentionally blind or the incredibly stupid do not understand or choose to misrepresent. Watch the video I reference. You are damaging to the interests and safety of women and delegitimise valid criticism of actual misogyny. Try to grasp this.

    8. Anon at 10.29. How many of these is N S directly responsible for? Another straw man argument to avoid the real issue. No one is questioning the better performance of an SNP govt. That is ongoing although it was damaged and reduced in the last three to four years of N S being in charge, especially in NHS and education and transport infrastructure. That is not my opinion it is a matter of record. You are doing the same as others, ignoring the video and the very difficult questions arising from it. The facts are simple. N S was made fully aware of the shortfall in funds. Why did she respond by telling members of the executive and the wider party to shut up? Why no investigation when multiple office holders resigned because of the lack of transparency? Why no direct questions on where the funds went to? And whether you hide your eyes and ears or face up to this is up to you. Her legacy is sadly as I have stated, and people like you highlight this all the more. Give specific answers to the points raised or give over.

  7. I have pointed out that propaganda about Sturgeon and ferries has helped boost the SNP from 30 to 38% in the past couple of years, and the Greens from 4% to 14% over the same period, leading to the biggest Yes majority in history.

If people paid more attention to my charts they would understand these things perfectly.

    1. Remember to count don't knows as Yes because they've turned their back on the Union. Skier does this and he's a scientist with a background in statistics so he wouldn't risk his professional reputation by spouting complete drivel would he?

    2. I think the BBC in particular along with their colleagues in the Mail and sun have misread the mood in Scotland with their harassment of the FFM who is no longer even an MSP. I have heard of several wife’s who were deceived by their husband who was having affaires. Surely the Mrs Johnson’s were at fault for believing him?

      Delete
    3. Who has accused N S of being responsible for her ex husband’s crimes? Certainly not me. She is being asked why, when made aware of the financial irregularities, and at the time being F M and leader of the SNP she chose to do nothing about it, and to compound matters, told the executive and members to stop talking about it. Why did she do that? Simple question. Tell us the answer. No? And using the false cry of misogyny to try to stop people asking questions is an appalling cynical tactic, and hugely damaging to real victims of misogyny. Those doing so should be ashamed.
