Drama as yet more details of the rigged 2023 Alba NEC election emerge: key Salmond ally Hamish Vernal is exposed as another massive beneficiary of the suspicious voting patterns

  1. Be nice and explain all this to the idiot Campbell who appears to be in complete denial about the behaviour of A S in his ALBA era. A sad end to a once great political career. The court case being funded by a staunch unionist will simply expose the behaviour of A S to an even bigger audience. That doesn’t seem to have dawned on the half wit Campbell or his muppet followers.

  2. To this day, im astounded that people didn't clock their shenanigans right away. It was blindingly obvious. Although these relevantioms show a much bigger extent than even I assumed. How anyone can trust Alba after this is beyond me. Either people's heid are firmly in the sand, or people accept a certain level of corruption. Maybe if we all stopped accepting this pish our Independence movement would be in a much healthier position.

  3. Just read your article in The National, James. Agree with it completely, especially regarding overall Unionist- majority seats and the near-certainty of tactical voting to keep the SNP out. BTW, the newspaper needs to check its copy before publication a bit better, I spotted an uncapitalised “swinney” in your piece ;-)

  4. Given the cheating was obviously sanctioned by Alex does it make you reconsider the ‘conspiracy’ case. If he can cheat at elections and bully and lie maybe he is not the victim he was made out to be.

  5. Surely it can't be long before some numpty anon comes along and complains that the English police didn't put up a blue tent at RandyAndy's house. There is corruption all over the UK but numpties like 8.45am above think the SNP are whiter than white. Swinney is currently showing complete contempt to the Court of Session. Why? What is he hiding that is worth sticking his two fingers up to the law. As Leanne above says let's stop accepting this pish from any source.

    2. You're once again performing the role of decoy by avoiding very reasonable scrutiny of these bizarre Alba party behaviours obviously condoned and also directed by Mr Salmond. Your concern should be for sub-paying Alba members whom it would seem are/were being deliberately taken advantage of and - to put a fine point on it - played for fools by those who would appear to have used them as useful financial fodder to further personal unexplained or unclear enterprise or ambition. Your finding it necessary to choose to ignore these issues - and instead attempt to shut down this discussion by attempting to deflect to SNP matters - suggests that, for some reason, you condone these Alba activities due to either not impinge on perhaps your adulation for Mr Salmond or the Alba Party, or that, for some reason known only to yourself, you are uncomfortable with these issues being reasonably scrutinised at all. In which case, you also do ordinary sub-paying Alba members a disservice.

    5. As expected the trolls are out and about. Oh well at least none of them are going on about blue tents again but all of them are happy to condone John the Great Redactor ignoring the law. He must have got that tip from his pal Trump in exchange for tips on redacting inconvenient documents.

So what have the trolls got to say:

8.54am pathetic, unoriginal and unimaginative troll.

9.26am wow!!! a troll who can actually post more than a line or two. He clearly got out of bed in a bad mood. Listen you diddy you don't tell me what to post. I don't try to deflect anything or decoy or shut down a discussion. What's stopping YOU posting about what you said - NOTHING. The rest of your post is just more nonsense. I don't condone any of what happens in Alba. I don't worship any politician and that includes Salmond. I have stated all this many, many times but diddies like you just keep coming with your lies. I am interested in Scottish independence not petty infighting in political parties. The SNP, as people like you are always saying, is the vehicle for independence. Alba are an irrelevance. I'm not in the least interested or uncomfortable in Alba issues being discussed. You kept the biggest laugh to the end - your last sentence - they should just resign if they are not happy. Just like many in Alba have done and over 50k SNP members have done.

9.42am I don't live in Baurheid. I've told you that before troll but trolls like you ignore the truth. The rest is your usual gibberish.

12.18pm - is that you Dr Jim praising your self just like Trump does? Or are you a Dr Jim fanboy? If you are a Jimbo fan that means you condone assaulting women. You deserve each other.
If lying was in the Olympics it would be a close race between Trump and Sturgeon.

  6. Just emwhen you think ReformUK couldn't get any scummier, it has now been revealed that at least one of their candidates ( probably many more of them) are directly funded by one of Fascist Hungarian Leader Viktor Orban's 'fronts'.

    Fascists funding Fascists.

'Matt Goodwin, the GB News presenter standing for Reform UK in this month’s Gorton and Denton byelection, says he wants his “country back”. But Good Law Project can reveal that he received a salary of up to €10,000 a month from a far-right pressure group based in Hungary.
MCC is a college and propaganda outfit for Hungary’s authoritarian leader Viktor Orbán based in Budapest. It is funded in part by a 10% stake in MOL Group – an energy giant that refines oil, most of which comes from Russia.'

    Reform really are political scum.

    1. ReformUK are bad enough, but the new mob Restore Britain are even more fascist and racist.

There have already been defections from Reform to Restore by the most extreme right nutters and more will probably follow soon.

Who would have thought, in this new 21st century, that Mosley and Powell would have been hailed as heroes and welcomed into the fold by so many similar human trash?

    4. Funnily enough I have been unknowingly to an MCC event event while in Budapest haha. It was like a freshers party but for young tories. They were openly displaying propaganda for lots of right leaning politicians all over Europe. Think it sees itself as a think tank

    5. Anon at 10.16am: Yes, I don't have much doubt that Salmond must have signed off on my expulsion before he died, and the best evidence is that his niece Christina Hendry was one of the four people on the Disciplinary Committee who voted to expel me (and one of the others was her boyfriend's mum - this is Alba after all).

  7. Find Out Now, Westminster voting intention, field work 18th Feb, another >2,000 sample.
UK headlines; RefUK 10% lead, no change week on week. Not much movement among the runners & riders. Plaid Cymru up to a fantastic 2%, “others” up to an unusual high of 7%, echoing another recent poll. The former big two have only 32% between them, and the LibDems are stuck on 10%. We’re in the age of the insurgents. A plague on all their houses.

    Welsh sub-sample (55)
    Con 14%, Lab, 13%, LibDem 3%, RefUK 22%, Green 17%, Plaid 27%.
Accepting the small population sample, Labour are in 5th place. They would be annihilated on anything approaching these numbers in the Senedd election. Ever wonder why the heat on Starmer within the Labour Party has been turned down? No-one else wants to be in No. 10 Downing Street on the 8th of May.

  8. Some anon numpty posted a comment complaining about the details of Murrell's embezzlement charges being made public last week. It has now been revealed that the Unionist Lord Advocate Bain told Swinney the details in January. Lo and behold, Murrell's court date, which had been set for 20 Feb for about a year, suddenly a week before it is due to proceed gets postponed until late May ( after the Holyrood election ).

Just a coincidence of course. The Lord Advocate is totally independent of the Scottish Government because she says so🤣. It's just a coincidence she was appointed by Sturgeon and she now sits in John the Great Redactor's cabinet.

No wonder the Holyrood bill to Reform the Freedom of Information law is being proposed as a member's bill and not a government bill. This government don't want the public knowing anything about their wrongdoings.

Sure Reform and any other fascist/racist political parties will be a lot, lot, lot worse in government but does that mean we have to turn a blind eye and put up with wrongdoings by the SNP. If you say yes you have allowed yourself to be corrupted by supporting a political party. Sure Alba are a shitshow but that disnae excuse the SNP wrongdoings in government.

  9. Nigel Farage, ReformUK, Russia, and a Convicted Money Launderer -

Senior Reform UK figures attended the launch of George Cottrell's 'How to Launder Money' book

Aristocrat George Cottrell is a convicted fraudster and criminal money-laundering expert. He was photographed with Farage and Nigel's Russian asset Nathan Gill. Gill has his hand on Cottrell's shoulder. Best pals all round.

Last year Cottrell was reported as having set up a secretive new political firm which raised ‘real red flags’ according to an anti-corruption expert.

Just about every day now, ReformUK's corrupt, fascist or racist connections are coming to light.

Has the Bath afterbirth joined them yet?

  10. Maybe now that the whole lying Salmond Alba affair is out in the open people will realize Sturgeon was right all along and get even more behind the SNP than they already are

  11. The legal position of Scotland's Lord Advocate and her dual roles is a direct result of stipulations in the Scotland Act and the Scotland Act is a Reserved piece of legislation which can only be amended or supplemented by another piece of Reserved legislation in Westminster.

Those who infer that the LA's role could simply be changed by a Scottish Govt are either idiots or liars.

The same idiots or liars who, for their own reasons, attempt to downplay the truly massive risk posed by the rise of the extreme Right on these islands, backed by their racist, fascist money men, with their huge threats to the NHS, welfare state and the poorest in our society while enriching further those already better off.

Some who pose as Indy Supporters, but concentrate their ire against parties who support that aim rather than those who are fundamentally against it, should be treated with nothing but deep suspicion.

They are not who they appear to be.

“They are not who they appear to be “ says the anonymous poster hiding in the anonymous crowd on SGP.

Posters who post all the time under the anonymous moniker “ should be treated with nothing but deep suspicion” as they don’t want you to see what their history of posts are.

The only protection Scotland has against the extreme right - Reform - is independence and that ain’t going to happen under the current SNP leadership. Supporters of Swinney should be treated with deep suspicion. Swinney will lead Scotland to disaster and then walk away to his comfortable retirement. I was right about Sturgeon and Yousaf but some anonymous trolls claim they know better. They provide no evidence to demonstrate they know better. Just a combination of extreme loyalty and high levels of gullibility.
They never address why so many members left SNP and why there is a large gap between independence and the SNP in the polls.

The answer for independence was a de facto referendum in 2021 and 5 years later it is the same answer but the SNP turned its back on it. Sensible people like James have always seen that as the way forward. The SNP leadership turned its back on it even though Big Ginger Dug himself promoted it. Mr Kavanagh did promote it but has now fallen in line with the tired old ask Westminster for a sec 30 - please, pretty please Sir Keir. Pathetic nonsense.
