Wisdom on Wednesday : The eleventh commandment was missing for a good reason

"But no man has the right to fix the boundary to the march of a nation. No man has a right to say to his country: 'Thus far shalt thou go, and no further'."

Said by Charles Stewart Parnell, leader of the Irish Parliamentary Party at Westminster in the late 19th Century. Are you listening, Ian Davidson?

  1. Probably a good idea to stop when you get to the sea though, or you'd get wet feet.

  2. I don't think Mr Davidson does listening.
