Earlier today, I took part in a live stream on the "Two Davies" YouTube channel, and we all answered viewers' questions about quite a wide variety of subjects, including the current polling situation, the Act of Union, Liberate Scotland, and the security of the vote counting process in Scottish elections. You can catch up with the show via the embedded player below.
Find Out Now, Westminster voting intention, field work 4th Feb, sample population 2,264 (after a couple of weeks of sub 2,000 reporting). UK headlines; RefUK 13% lead over Tories & Greens on 18% each. RefUK +3% week on week. Labour only down 1% despite everything. YouGov, and More in Common also have RefUK rallying a bit this week. Dear god, I ken we’re in a game of least ugly sister, but how does RefUK benefit from that? Farage is only absent from the Epstein data dump because; * he wasn’t really a thing when Epstein was still active. * gathering kompromat on him would have been superfluous.
Utterly risible Scottish sub-sample (118) Con 14%, Lab 16%, LibDem 7%, RefUK 24%, Green 13%, SNP 23%. No comment required.
Rumours of Angela Rainer taking Starmer’s crown reek of desperation (on her part). Anyone unseating Starmer before the May elections would have to eat those results. I have no concept of the English, Local Government elections (which have been complicated by dodgy opt outs). As it stands, in Scotland, Labour would loose circa 10 MSPs. Not great for them, but they’d still be the third largest party. A mildly embarrassing defeat following a long term trend is only turned into an existential disaster by their own stupidity. The vast sums being thrown away promoting Anas Sarwar as “your next First Minister” turn an impending result which they could spin their way out of into a cluster burach. The real disaster for anyone deposing Starmer before May will be the Welsh Senedd elections. Labour are set to fall from a perpetual first place to fighting it out with the Greens to be third.
Yeah, unless Rayner or Streeting harbour Jim Murphy-like delusions about their ability to turn around the situation in a few months, Starmer is surely going to limp on until May
I watched it all but, sorry to say, I didn't enjoy it. And David McGuinness's very first words ("F*** off") wasn't a good start. I really felt for you, James.

Declan loves a Scottish sub sample. How long until he boasts about 23 % SNP? Lol.
