Our Precious Readers' Contest

A quick readers' contest (and I may have one or two more of these): where was I contemplating the value of Our Precious Union last night?  There's no tangible prize, but the winner takes the coveted title of Scot Goes Pop Precious Union Contemplation Diviner.

  2. I often have difficulty following the train of thought in these blogs but I'll have a go at explaining my attitude to the "precious" union. For me the word "precious" is associated with that poor, lonely, distorted, desparate (and how many adjectives can one add) creature called Golum, one of the doomed characters in Lord of the Rings. This is the template of "the precious union". Anybody really want it?

  5. This is a bit weird isn’t it? Someone trolling you with a 1980s rugby chant. I’m guessing Ferry to Dunoon.

  6. You certainly seem very passionate and obsessed for someone who supposedly doesn't like him. Jealousy is difficult I suppose.

    1. Are you trying to make insults? I don't understand how you're so bad at it.

  7. James has a unionist admirer with homosexual fantasies it would seem.

  8. My God how mentally impaired do you need to be to make dozens of pointless abusive posts about nothing. Does the nurse know you have sneaked onto the internet ? Time to get your anti-psychotic medicine increased. Though it can be difficult to tell a poor suffering mentally ill person from a typical raving unionist . Perhaps when you take off that nice tinfoil hat and come out of the closet you will be less aggressive.

A-level results: 'Huge mess' as exams appeal guidance withdrawn

This, for me, sums up everything that wrong with the UK Government at the moment. Knowing that there was going to be a S**t storm coming down the road, they seem to have no clue of what to do, instead of being prepared they just seem to be paralysed like a deer in headlights. Their only solution seems to be to brief out a dead cat (NHS England being scrapped) with the hope that that will take the sting out of the story.

  11. This is really disgraceful.

Hardly the actions of an FM in waiting.

And a Tory too; they are supposed be the party that always celebrates war.

Scots Tory leader Douglas Ross accused of insulting WW2 heroes after snubbing VJ Day service

Douglas Ross ran the line as an assistant referee 200 miles away at Kilmarnock’s Rugby Park clash in the Scottish Premiership with St Johnstone – a job that attracts fees of about £445.

    1. Note I use the word 'celebrate' as this is how the Great British BBC sees war / millions dead, i.e. something to celebrate.

  12. James can you block the abusers? If not is it time to use a different way of doing your blog? Looks like 'blogspot' is not safe,
just an idea... mind you some folks are riled I guess, trying to stop people reading your blog so it must be getting to the BritNats lol!

No idea re pic, but watched a wee film on the NLS moving image archive about a ferry to Rothesay, looks a bit similar! Sorry if completely incorrect.
