No-one who witnessed Israel's highly organised attempt to subvert both the presentation and the result of the Eurovision Song Contest in May will have been surprised that they had a similar stunt carefully prepared for yesterday's UK recognition of the State of Palestine - but what is deeply reprehensible is that the British polling firm JL Partners were active and enthusiastic participants in that stunt. In this video, I delve into the data tables of the JL Partners poll purporting to show almost 90% opposition among the British public to recognition of Palestine - and unsurprisingly find that it showed no such thing, and that the way the poll was represented in the media was highly misleading at best, and fraudulent at worst.
Another way of helping is by subscribing to my YouTube channel (which I must stress is completely free!). I need to reach at least 1000 subscribers and I'm currently on 571.
In some respects they are doing no different from the "free press" like the Daily Heil with its mouth frothing racism against boat people and its pro Israel Government stance.
ReplyDeleteOr Skier, with his infamous counting don't knows with Yes 'because they've clearly turned their back on the Union'.
DeleteLike JL Partners, his credibility is in the bin.
Whatever you say, IfS, at 7.04 pm.
DeleteIfs still reading wee ginger dug.
Delete9.29 and 9.37pm IFS is always on your mind. As IFS would say you are obsessed with him.
DeleteThanks for the explanation about this poll James, I was completely puzzled when i saw it. The BBC thing I expect, seeing the pictures that RTE show of Gaza in comparison to those of our state broadcaster makes it look like two different places, but we know they're biased, biased in content and biased by omition, we all saw it in action back in 2014.
ReplyDeleteThat poll is absolute nonsense.
ReplyDeleteOn top of that, if you google "jl partners palestine poll", second entry tells you "EU public oppose Palestinian state without Hamas conditions".
ReplyDeleteHowever, if you click on the article from The Jerusalem Post you find the headline is different, and that the poll was France and the UK, with of course, the UK not even being in the EU.
So much for truth.
And yougov 4 days ago had this: "Britons support recognising Palestinian statehood by 44% to 18%"
