A couple of hours ago I received an email from another source. It alleges that Corri Wilson has in fact not had authorisation to nominate candidates, and therefore that all Alba local by-election candidates since McEleny's downfall, including the one yesterday, have been nominated illegitimately. This is the text of the email -
"Corri was not authorised to be deputy nomination officer. Corri was advising candidates to sign the nomination forms themselves telling them they had authority to do so.
Therefore every by election Alba have stood in this year has been by committing the criminal offence of fraudulently submitting nomination papers claiming to have authority they did not have. Whether each candidate would be liable for the criminal offence or Corri would be for lying to them (just like she wrongly told or lied to the NEC that there wasn’t going to be an employment tribunal as it was time barred) by telling them they had authority would be another matter."
I know for sure the email was sent by a genuine insider, because it was the same person who sent me the first hard screenshot evidence that Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh had instructed McEleny to target me for "the treatment", triggering my horrendous months-long experience last year. However, I obviously cannot vouch for whether the source is interpreting Corri Wilson's actions correctly, or indeed is interpreting the law correctly.
All I'll say is that absolutely nothing would surprise me about Alba or about Corri Wilson at this stage.
* .* .*
With less than two months of the year left to go, the 2025 Scot Goes Pop fundraiser is still short of its target figure. If you'd like to help keep the lights on during the several months it will take me to find out whether an alternative funding model is viable (realistically it could be a wait of around four months or more), card donations are welcome HERE. Or, if you prefer, direct donations can be made via PayPal. My PayPal email address is: jkellysta@yahoo.co.uk
Many thanks to everyone who has donated so far.
An illegitimate series of moves from a party of illegitimates.
ReplyDeleteBut surely given Kenny MacAskill's qualifications and skills and experience - and the likes of Angus B MacNeil, Neale Hanvey and some others of a certain calibre - these sort of mess ups must surely be being exaggerated or - something. You wouldn't imagine all these alleged bloops occurring under Kenny MacAskill's watch - presumably he's the one the buck stops with ergo he must have some kind of more professional control than the impression being given that it seems a right mess.
DeleteIf MacAskill was so competent, he'd scarcely have got into a situation where a man he'd sacked for gross misconduct is the party's Nominating Officer.
DeleteDoes the electoral commission have investigative powers?
ReplyDeleteWill any action be taken against a party achieving 1% of the vote, once again?
I’m still scunnered about what happened to Alba in 2021. The descent into Judean People's Front faction fights was inconsequential beyond those poor souls involved. Scotland at large is left with one (handsomely infiltrated) SNP and no alternative for nationalists to vote for. It's a sare fecht, and then some.
Blame Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh currently on tiktoc with her designer bags while her ‘partner’ was broke
DeleteMicro poll from JL Partners, Westminster voting intention, field work 1 - 3 Nov., suspiciously round population sample 1,000.
ReplyDeleteRefUK 30%, Lab 23%, Green 10%.
Conducted on behalf of auld Rupert’s The Sun.
Greens at 10%, miles removed from any recent poll from any other outfit. JL Partner’s producing results predetermined by clients now?
They’re pouring petrol on what’s left of their smouldering reputation.
But as Alba are still yelling 'Vote Alba for Independence' at HR 2026 - and the alleged Yes movement seem to be fully in support of Alba, or at least the main influencers of the movement, such as McAlpine, Riddoch etc and the Prism shouty people - if Alba are not expected to get votes in to hugely contribute to make some majority for 2026 - why are they portraying themselves as the absolutely necessary option to getting this big independence majority at HR2026? Or are they going to combine with Liberation Scotland or whatever that grouping are - I don't know who they are - maybe somebody can fill me in on that. There seem to be new independence groupings having confabs all over the place that it's difficult to keep up with who are actually standing for HR 2026 and what as - and who are just the usual people always having events and meetings to discuss strategies for HR2026 but are not standing themselves?
ReplyDeleteSeems an awful lot of people doing their own thing - or maybe I just find it impossible to keep up.
"Riddoch"? Do you mean Lesley Riddoch? On what planet does she support Alba? The Prism brigade certainly don't support Alba anymore - they've all moved across to Liberate Scotland. I don't know what the situation is with Robin McAlpine - obviously he co-wrote the Wee Alba Book, but I haven't detected much enthusiasm for Alba from him for a long time.
DeleteJimbo and his imitators have a chip on their shoulder about any recognisable faces in the movement who aren't SNP members or cheerleaders, like Kavanagh. Lesley Riddoch is indeed hardly an Alba supporter, but her open criticism of Scotgov on several issues falls short of Jimbo's "you're either with us or you're a Brit Nat" threshold. So into the bucket she goes.
DeleteAt times, Kavanagh himself runs this risk, as every once in a blue moon he calls out the SNP on something or another. I’m sure Jimbo would cancel him, too, if poor Jim had anywhere else to go.
Who is this Jimbo IFS?
DeleteBefore any tiresome twat of a troll comes on and says that post at 9.58am was by me I am saying it wisnae me although I agree with the contents. This is the last time I will deny any of these claims that the diddy trolls make. I've had enough of their lies and spending time denying them.
DeleteThat isn't Dr Jim. You can't just accuse anyone who says nice things about the SNP of being Dr Jim. You have to look for the tells, like personal infatuation with Nicola, undisguised hatred of both the Scots and the English, and poor punctuation.
DeleteIs it Dr Jim, or is it not, they seek him here they seek him there, he's IFS's Scarlet Pimpernel
DeleteIFS is a headbanger with a complex
Troll at 6.32pm if you had any standards at all you would be embarrassed at posting that gibberish.
DeleteThis is criminal if someone makes a police complaint Alba are screwed and it not as if Alba doesn’t have enough enemies likely to want to screw him over.
ReplyDeleteI see the newly elected mayor Mamdani of New York has not only cited and highly praised the SNP's baby box initiative but is also going to copy it in his city.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant policy recognised as such.
Did we not copy it from one of the Nordic countries?
DeleteAnon at 9.40pm Finland. There is nothing wrong with copying good ideas from other countries.
DeleteI think Macaskill and I am not sure who else is left should look around and realise ALBA has had its chance and is going nowhere. It is time for it to be closed down. In fairness to them If Alex Salmond was still alive I doubt if it would be any better. In practice many disruptive individuals left the snp -helping it, yet poisoning the new party. The truth is most of the independence leaning public are “content” with John Swinney steady hand. Not what the radical independence wing wants but is just the reality of the situation in my view.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think that’s true - the party has never recovered the support it had from the public under Sturgeon. We’ve been accused of criminality and pummelled by culture wars - mostly propagated by Salmknd loyalists undermining the leadership. I don’t think this can ever be fixed. We had a moment and Salmond and his agents blew it and split the movement.
Delete“ Independence leaning” you mean devolutionists.
Delete“ John Swinney steady hand “ you mean do nothing about independence.
“ radical independence ” you mean people who actually want independence.
Ahh ifs hiding in the closet. The fact is the people in the majority will vote snp. End of lesson.
DeletePolling suggests that a significant proportion of the Indy leaning public are anything but happy with Swinney. About 40%. SNP are polling in the thirties, Indy support is polling in the mid fifties. That 40% have to be attracted back to SNP. It’s not happening. I am one of the 40%. Swinney’s imposition of an SNP votes only strategy has significantly reduced the chance of him attracting back the 40%. It has also alienated the other Independence party worth voting for in seat terms on the list vote. The greens need handled and controlled. No sign of that either. And no sign of the type of short sharp information documents on the benefits of Independence that we know work. But maybe that’s why we aren’t getting them. SNP are becoming masterly in courting the support of, err, their existing support. Devolution Sir?
DeleteWith a stupid forecast like anon@ 1.05pm posted it must be Declan hiding as an anon. I note that Declan does not say we will then be independent.
DeleteThe proverbial bad penny, Angus Robertson has popped up again.
ReplyDeleteThis time it’s the dereliction of his responsibility to provide executive supervision of scandal ridden, Historic Environment Scotland.
Former Chairman of HES, Dr Hugh Hall made repeated requests to meet with Robertson over a period of years, to no avail. Perhaps if Hall had scheduled a meeting in some exotic, foreign location (like New York), “Air miles Angus” would have responded (with Gravy bus Barbie in tow as per usual).
How Robertson, the architect of the destruction of internal democracy within the SNP, has survived this long is a mystery. Perhaps he has someone watching over him? The British American Project perchance?
In late 2023, Robertson popped out of nowhere to take control of the Scottish Government negotiations to award exclusive control of Hydrogen generation in Scotland. How did Robertson whose remit at the time was Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs, & Culture come to usurp Minister for Energy & the Environment, Gillian Martin?
The contract was awarded to Norwegian, state owned utilities giant Equinor. And that was the last we heard of that. The only Hydrogen generation plant (specific to the energy sector) with a planning permit is Kintore Hydrogen, which is owned by Statera Energy, which is owned by ETQ Infrastructure (and so on, ad infinitum, with no mention of Equinor).
Robertson is a bad egg. He had secret meetings with Israel.
DeleteInteresting world politically at the moment.
ReplyDeleteJust watched the well known neo Nazi Steve Bannon tell an audience of Ardent MAGAs that 'We must act now, without delay, and take control of the institutional blocks which stop us doing what we want to do, while we still have Trump in power'.
Having seen glaring evidence of Trump's physical frailties recently, I think Bannon knows the orange balloon is not much longer for this world.
Wonder how that will affect the Mini-MAGAs in Reform electorally?
As for Labour's soulless collection of cabinet cardboard cutouts, it now seems even they have had enough of the nonentity which is Starmer and want him gone.
Trouble is, they only have more of the same muppets to replace him.
Meanwhile Polanski continues to rise in England.
Like the truly massive buyers remorse now being displayed over the totally disastrous Brexit, I wonder how long it will take for that sentiment to appear among those deluded idiots who are presently backing virtually the same bunch of hopeless hapless Brexit chancers now leading Reform UK?
ReplyDeleteSurely even the dimmest and dumbest of those idiots can see that coming?
Astonishing. Christmas has arrived early this year. We are going to be independent on January 1st 2031 we are told. The best pressie you could ever get. The numpties have another date they can get tattooed somewhere to remind them to save the date. It's only 6 years away.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta believe in Scotland. Use your kids Xmas present money and donate it now to the crowdfunder. You know it makes sense. It's for a better future for all the children of Scotland.
Anyone know what Peter Murrell is doing these days. Let's have a crowdfunder for him to cheer him up.
Independence supporters don’t dwell on Murrell, nor do they ignore the presumption of innocence. Look it up. Educate yourself.
DeleteNo wonder the SNP lost 50,000 members and have dropped massively in the polls with people like you about anon at 12.12pm telling an independence supporter what they should think.
DeleteTry reading my post properly and you will see there is no accusation about Murrell as he has been charged with embezzlement. You need to learn how to read properly. Educate yourself.
Anon at 12.12pm so you don't want to help out your previous SNP Chief Exec with a crowdfunder. Not very charitable of you - wonder why that is.
DeleteFascinating that the more Reform Alba and Wings get criticised on here, the more the usual dismal drones like ifsy then come on spitting blood against the SNP.
ReplyDeleteIt's almost like a kneejerk reaction with them.
Wonder why?
The reason is very obvious to anyone who has posted on SGP for any length of time.
DeleteIfsy & co. are really only interested in slagging off the SNP, at the expense of just about everything else.
Would not surprise me and most others on here I would guess, if they will follow their pathetic little hero-figure in Bath and vote Reform in 2026.
They seem that sort.
I have serious doubts whether IFS is actually an independence supporter at all.
DeleteI see him as a troll whose life and relevance revolve around posting on here. I’d find him less objectionable if he was just an idiot, but he is untruthful as well. He needs called out regularly.
DeleteThe truth seems to upset some people on SGP. I guess you are not used to that in supporting the current SNP leadership.
Delete" He needs called out regularly." In your case that involves posting lies. You are a liar and you have demonstrated that on many occasions on SGP. The mark of a troll.
" I have serious doubts ..........." your doubts are misplaced and misdirected. Your doubts should be directed towards the leadership that are taking the piss out of you.
" follow their pathetic little hero -figure in Bath and vote Reform in 2026. " another twat posting lies about me. I don't have heros and certainly not bloggers like Campbell or Farage and there is zero chance of me voting Reform as I have posted plenty of times on SGP but twats like you persist in posting your lies.
All of you, assuming you are not the same twat, clearly were not brought up by your parents to understand right from wrong and decent standards of honesty and integrity.
Anon at 7.15pm - you clearly come from the authoritarian school of thought that only allows criticism of what you want. It disnae bother me in the least you or anyone criticising "Reform Alba and Wings".
I note not one of you trolls actually said you believe in Scotland and that we will be independent on 1/1/2031. Instead you focus on personal abuse directed towards me. Says it all about you.
Anyone still think IFSy is anything other than a troll and an imbecile? Let’s remember this is the guy who, by his own admission, has never knocked on a door, never manned a stall, never handed out a leaflet, ever. His contribution to Indy is the garbage and lies he posts on here. The work of an Indy supporter? He also, of course, hero worships Campbell. These are the facts, as admitted and confirmed by IFSy. Hoist by his own petard. A fitting end for a troll.
DeleteDavid Francis 2.35pm - everything you said in that post is a lie. As if I would admit any of that to a lowlife like you. All you do is troll. Not a word on the new independence plan from Believe in Scotland. All you do is troll and troll and then troll again.
DeleteAgree he has increased his juvenile posts recently as the snp and greens fortunes have improved which is not a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteThis grown up at 12.30am cannae even put his post in the correct place. It never seems to ever sink in with these people that I care about Scottish independence and not the fortunes of a political party(s) that has no intention of doing anything about independence. Vote away for the SNP or the Greens they won't do anything about independence. They have proven that over the previous 11 years.
DeleteDo the SNP challenge the UK Supreme Court decision on the referendum issue - no. Do they challenge the decision on what a woman is - yes. That is what you are voting for.
Wings latest drivel basically bigs up Reform yet again and then dismisses everything suggested by Business For Scotland and anyone who agrees with what they propose in relation to achieving independence.
ReplyDeleteCampbell obviously sees himself as the font of all knowledge on Independence and Scottish politics in general, when his record in that regard, as has been pointed out numerous times on here, is that of a halfwitted twat wearing an extremely pointed hat.
Campbell looks in the mirror and sees Brad Pitt, when everyone else can see Quasimodo.
Anon at 12.30 am it's Believe In Scotland NOT Business For Scotland as you wrongly state in your post. When you look in the mirror you see someone who cannae even get the basics right.
DeleteSo anon do you believe in their plan and we will be independent on 1/1/2031?
Every post IFS makes is designed to undermine confidence in Scottish independence, he stands for nothing and is against everything
DeleteIFS is a flesh eating disease
Campbell looks in the mirror and sees IFSy. They should get married.
Delete" IFS is a flesh eating disease " says the troll. That comment tells you all you need to know about the character of these trolls. No wonder they post as anon. Cowards hiding in the anon crowd.
DeleteNot one of these trolls have said they believe in the plan punted by Believe in Scotland. They just post personal abuse and express no opinion on the matter at hand - Scottish independence.
Ifsy doing his stuck record impersonation.
ReplyDeleteAgain.
Anon troll at 10.56am personally I use Apple Music but you seem to be stuck in the past.
DeleteBe fair IFS you bad mouth everybody, people like you are bad for the movement
Delete5.11pm so wheest for the SNP delivered what exactly in the last 11 years. People like you are bad for independence.
Delete
