Was the SPUC's attempted fringe meeting in Aberdeen a "classic McEleny political stunt"?

Also in the video below - SHE'S BACK!!!  Corri Wilson, matriarch of the "Corri Nostra" faction of the defunct Alba Party, has emerged from hibernation, and this time she wants to "explain democracy" to you - possibly in return for a small fee.

  1. McEleny seems a natural to join ATLS.

    1. Couldn't have happened to a nicer hate hobbit. What makes it even funner is that he managed it while wasting Space Karen's money on legal fees.

    5. Who are balaclava neds ? A combination of football hooligans and neo Nazis. But I reckon they wear balaclavas to hide their acne.

    6. Anon at 9.54. IFSY and YIR2 are known as the Balaclava Boys. I coined the term for them, so don’t use it without my permission.

  4. To be fair, I doubt many modern managers could give even a basic definition of democracy, sovereignty or the economy, such is the idiocracy we live under these days.
Most managers I know struggle with concepts like accountability.

  5. Idiocracy, what a great word and it explains a lot about most governments around the world and much shorter than the loonies have taken over the asylum.

  6. Inspired by your news about this exciting new organisation, but also feeling slightly dave-ja-vue about the name, a quick web search was in order.

The tragically short of anything worthwhile to say posse at democracyproject.scot stands in sharp and sad contrast to the timeless output of much missed genial good-guy David Graeber, who wrote
"The Democracy Project" among many other fine intellectual and socialogical works.

A man much missed, a genial and brilliant, brilliant man.

So, if one is happening to be looking for deeply intelligent commentary, I would recommend one and all to at least take a look at the work of
    David Graeber [2]

Oh, and ignore that other shite!

  7. What is Corri Wilson known for (apart from having teeth the druids could use as a place of worship)?

  8. Leave my maw out of things . She is simply the best . Look at all her success with the Alba Party . She was always on the stage whispering to Tasmina . No one else could have been as good in doing that important task. . Took years of training . I hoped to take over one day but Tasmina ran away .

    1. Yeah where did Tasmina go? Shannon you would have been fantastic at sitting on a stage whispering. You were born for that role . What are your career options now ?

    2. Tasmina is looking for her next fix to get her claws into. A wee bit of how's yer father, tomato sauce and a couple of hundred grand, she'll be fine

  9. Off topic,
The recent Norstat indy poll showed yet another Yes lead. Though it has to be said, the Yes lead was down slightly on previous Norstat polls.
Not quite the direction of travel we’d all have liked to see.

    2. K C. Are you going to continue with these infantile attempts? You risk making IFSY look not quite so stupid as he usually looks. Quite an achievement.

    3. I know KC can be a bit of a pain in the arse, but he does make some valid points.
