A quick question James.
ReplyDeleteIs it true you’ve stripped Ipsos of Gold Standard status, and awarded the accolade to Norstat?
I've already answered that, KC. Norstat are not the gold standard, they are the blue riband.
DeleteNot even the Tunnocks caramel wafer then?
DeleteTaxi for 10.25pm.
DeleteWatched the entire HR debate on Scotland's right to choose this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteApart from Offal and his clownshoes sliding out early doors and the Libdems once again proving just how illiberal they really are, the other noticeable thing was the semantic two-faced nonsense coming from Labour.
That lot will never accept Scotland having another referendum.
They will keep denying mandates, keep inventing new hurdles which must be surmounted by HR ( hurdles that simply do not exist for Westminster and did not exist for the EU Referendum ), ignore consistent Yes-lead polling and polling which shows most Scots demand another Indyref.
Same script as with Sarwar, but now more softly spoken by Marra.
Same old, same old.
Anon at 10.49pm is correct.
DeleteThe same lot of devolutionists used to peddle the line that it was just the Tories that are not respecting Scottish democracy. As soon as a decent Labour PM came along a sec 30 agreed referendum would happen they would argue. These are the thoughts of people who cling to the believe that Labour are a nice left wing party who will do the decent thing. They aren’t and they won’t. They, like the rest of them, are English nationalist parties hiding under the cloak of Britain. They always do what’s best for England. Number 10 North tells you that.
If you don’t want independence now you ain’t an independence supporter. Sure you may come on blogs and prattle on about now is not the time ( guess who else said that ) but the time is always in the future. There has been 319 years of this rancid fake union that is in reality a colonial relationship. Is that not long enough? Obviously not for the fake independence supporters. The current SNP carrot is now sometime before 2031. Swinney will do a Sturgeon and run away with his hefty pension by then or will be booted out.
319 years - is that not long enough?
Anon@10:49pm,
DeleteWhat a load of utter bull!
What are these mandates? Are you one of these plonkers who think a majority of MPs/MSPs is a mandate, never mind the fact that the pro independence vote share is around 40% or lower?
“……consistent Yes lead polling and polling which shows most Scots demand another Indyref”.
Oh dear, where to start with that tripe!
You obviously ignore Ipsos and YouGov polls! Plus most Scots DON’T DEMAND another referendum. Most Scots are sick to the back teeth of the nonsense. Get a grip you fool.
Usual nonsense from Ifs, not even worth replying to. It’s like a broken record stuck in the same groove.
At my 9.39am post believe should be belief. There you go I corrected a mistake. Thats all. Some anon numpty on the previous article said that it made him gracious when he corrected an obvious error. No it didn’t.
DeleteKC the pointless Britnat living in the past. The British Empire like all empires reigned terror all over the world. It is a good thing it is history. The UK is the fag end of this murderous empire and needs to be stamped out. England needs to survive on its own instead of looting other nations wealth.
Name a country where a majority in parliament is not a mandate for what is in the manifesto.
DeleteYet more bull from Ifs and anon@11:11.
DeleteOh dear.
I mean, in the Holyrood election earlier this year, less than 40% voted for pro independence parties!!!
DeleteHow the hell is this a mandate for another referendum??
You lot just make fools of yourselves when you spout this utter nonsense!
Rather, old boy!
DeleteKC the only person making a fool of themselves is you. You don’t seem to know the difference between an election to a Parliament, a referendum and a de facto referendum. The truth is you do know the difference but you are full of deceit just like most Britnats.
DeleteKC - Cameron only got a 37% share of the vote in 2015. Please explain why that was a mandate for a referendum.
DeleteOr will I answer it for you - it’s England old boy and we are only Scotland. Different rules apply to the colonies. There you go. Saved you the effort of trying to think up some gaslighting bullshit.
Oh dear Ifs!
DeleteThe old colony nonsense once again!
Stick yer independence where the sun disnae shine.
In the words of the great Sir Winston Churchill, on VE Day,
Advance Britannia, long live the King.
KC living in the past. As ever KC is shown to be pushing lies on SGP. Just as well I answered why Cameron got a EU ref on just under 37% of the vote but Scotland cannae get one when it regularly votes more than 37%.
DeleteThe UK is the dirty rotten smelly fag end of the murderous British Empire. It just needs a decent independence leader to stamp on it and put it out of it's miserable existence.
Churchill the great guy that didnae want women to get the vote. KC is a Britnat dinosaur 🦕. The meteor is on its way KC and ducking won’t let you survive.
Ifs, desperate stuff from a desperate individual, unable to accept his “dream” has died.
DeleteIt’s incredible how often Britnats like KC keep referring back to the Second World War. If it’s not Dunkirk, it’s D day or it’s Churchill. They never refer back to the atrocities the British Empire carried out over hundreds of years. The Empire was the first to think up and establish concentration camps. They also kidnapped millions of Africans and sold them as slaves. They have a very selective memory.
DeleteHas anyone said tipping point yet?
ReplyDeleteHow about floodgates?
DeleteIfsy idiot boy. Graciously means doing something in a polite, kind, and pleasant way. I appreciate your kind words and your understanding of my correction…….spunker!
ReplyDeleteAnon troll at 1.13pm nothing gracious about you. Just another cowardly anon hiding in amongst the anon crowd.
DeleteWell ifsy that is very kind of you to say that and I thank you for your lovely words even although you have a very stressful home life given the fact that you live under a bridge.
DeleteAnon troll at 6.05 pm you post so many lies you must be a Britnat.
DeleteHey KC at 10.09 am
ReplyDeleteRemind us all - what was the mandate for the EURef/Brexshit?
Was it Cameron's tiny 34% support at the previous GE or was it the vast majority of polls which showed Remain in the lead?
Going by your logic, the EURef/Brexshit should never have happened, but it still did.
Why???.
I voted remain in 2016. I believe Brexit has been a disaster. However the thing is, I like many others accept the democratic result of the referendum. Unlike nationalists of course, who can’t accept the democratic result of the 2014 independence referendum. It’s nothing short of pathetic, and the majority of the Scottish people are sick to the back teeth of it!
DeleteK C. Fact check. You did not vote remain in 2014. You are a sad wee troll, possibly resident in the U K, but not in Scotland. Get a life.
DeleteKC Scotland voted remain. So you are not accepting Scotland’s democratic vote. You are accepting England’s democratic vote. You know what that makes you.
DeleteWell anon@5:23pm certainly ain’t the sharpest tool in the box.
DeleteThe Brexit referendum was in 2016 you halfwit, not 2014!! I most certainly voted Remain!
And for your information I am Scottish and live in Dumfries and Galloway.
It’s you who needs to get a life!
Ifs, yes Scotland voted remain, but so did other parts of the UK. However the UK as a whole(which we are part of) voted leave. It’s not rocket science! It was pathetic how people like you thought this was reason for another independence referendum, so soon after 2014.
DeleteSeriously, you need to get a grip and stop embarrassing yourself!
KC at 4.21 pm
DeleteYou did not answer my question.
Where was the mandate to hold EURef?
Cameron got a miserly 34% of the vote to form his Govt in 2015, and used purely that as his mandate for EURef in 2016.
The vast majority of polls back then had Remain in the majority.
So, according to your logic, Cameron had neither the vote-share nor popular support to hold that referendum, but it still took place.
Why did it take place, when your stated position is that it did not meet the criteria you set for an Indyref in Scotland?
You have accepted the Brexshit result as legitimate, therefore you have also accepted the legitimacy of the referendum itself, in spite of the fact that the mandate for it met none of the criteria you set for an Indyref.
Do you have just the two faces, or are there more?
KC at 6.30 pm the other part of the UK that voted remain was N.Ireland and they are still getting the benefits of being in the EU. Their vote was well short of the Scotland vote to remain.
DeleteIt’s pretty obvious that the much greater English population will always determine the result. That is a colonial arrangement.
Not only do you post lies KC if you are Scottish, and I doubt it, you are subservient to a foreign nation.
are the scotch not glad to be almost englishmen; have they not won the lottery of life - has the wise pimp hand not steadied them from their tendency for fratricide, sentimentality and hard drink?
ReplyDeleteNO.
DeleteZzzzzzzzz
Delete3.29 Headshot! IFS will be raging at that.
DeleteAnyone heard what lib dems used as their line to vote against rather than abstain in the parliament this week over independence?
ReplyDeleteThe motion was something like Scotland is a nation and had right to decide own future?
I even have more respect for reform almost, by avoiding answering that, than a party actually saying Scotland is not a country?
And the Lib Dem’s have the cheek and arrogance to say they are Scottish Lib Democrats. I’m not sure they are liberal, certainly not Scots or democratic.
ReplyDeleteSturgeon the Betrayer has been described as a furious goblin on The War Game. Not only did that make me laugh but it reminded me of how she came across on the video of the NEC meeting where she claimed the SNP accounts were fine and everybody should just shut up about saying otherwise. How could she/he/they/it be so wrong!!!
ReplyDeleteKC is none other than the Manky Jaiket.
ReplyDeleteI’m not a great fan of KC but he does make some reasonable points and gives food for thought.
DeletePlus, unlike so many on here he dosen’t post as anonymous, so credit to him for that.
James I am a genuine admirer of what you do but the comments section is, for people who have no idea if the history of the people involved a minefield of total and utter obscure nonsense. I am one of those people, I have no idea what or who IFS or KC represent but I genuinely wish they would go and take there comments elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteAre the Norstat tables out yet?
