WHO KNEW that the Brit Nats would be SO triggered by the mere idea of a totally hypothetical ferry from Scotland to Denmark?

An audio podcast version of the above video can be heard HERE, and will soon be available on Apple Podcasts HERE.

  1. I believe The Republic Of Ireland has about 40 ferry links to the continent (Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany) with some level of EU assistance.

  2. It's not about a ferry, or a rowing boat or even a plank of wood to hang onto while you paddle James
It's about anything that Scotland might want now or at any time in the future of the world that isn't granted to us by the great and powerful country of used to be

  3. I think there are two routes from Ireland to Spain, and one or two to France. If you are in Scotland, even when there was a ferry from Rosyth to Zeebrugge it was quicker to drive to Hull for N. Europe, and Portsmouth for S. Europe.

Why would anyone operate a ferry from Ireland to Germany when you can drive most of the way there in a straight line? The width of Britain and the length of Denmark x 2 are in the way if you are on a boat.

    1. Good luck driving from Scotland to Denmark in a straight line.

    2. That's why a ferry from Rosyth to Dunkirk is a bit pointless too, as James said.
A 20 hour ferry trip or a 9 hour drive to Dover plus an hour across the Channel.

      Delete
    3. Some people, myself included, don't fancy a 9 hour drive to Dover, or anywhere else for that matter.

    5. When on a boat from Ireland or hopefully Scotland it has things called beds. You can sleep in them while others are driving furiously to be held in a queue at Dover with men who can’t put their barlaclava’s on properly but are there to complain about boats.

  4. There used to be a ferry between Aberdeen and Bergen when the price of fridges and washing machines in Aberdeen made the trip financially viable to Norwegians.

What a load of pish. It had me laughing when it said ten high ranking politicians and up popped Jim the Egg 🥚Man Murphy as Foreign Secretary. The man who took Labour from 50 MPs down to only one. Worse than Sarwar and Kezia.

A Britnat tea 🍵party. Sturgeon as Deputy PM - is this the high level international job the WGD numpties claimed that Sturgeon was a cert to get? 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Sturgeon should have got more make up applied. No acting awards for this lot.

On the other hand John Swinney should have got a part in the programme as he did a great act at FMQ sounding like he actually wanted independence. Swinney could be a contender for an Emmy.

Just how many nicophants like 9.59am truly think their great Nicola is working away on the likes of Jim Murphy and Michael Gove to convince them of the case for independence rather than filling her boots full of more money. In this instance it is honest money.

What is the % - I guesstimate 90%. For the WGD nicophants I would be confident that it is 100%. Nicophants like 9.59am have extremely high levels of gullibility and stupidity. Not the best combination but at least some like 9.59 have managed to be able to write a few words.

  10. James, you're sounding a bit chippy today. I don't know how many English people you actually know - not many by the sound of it.
Please believe me when I say that the vast majority of English people have only good wishes for their Scottish neighbours. For instance Scotland is often our second favourite football team. We may come across as being anti a lot of things, but anti Scottish is not one of them. (I am English but have lived in Scotland for 40 years.)

The English have always been a nation of liars an thieves and history has demonstrated that fact clearly
England in its entire history has never once honoured an agreement or treaty with any country in the world
Now you can pat me on the head, smile benignly and tell me I'm wrong, and it's me who has the problem Massa
Right now in the parliament of Northern Ireland the English DUP are arguing that you can't remove propaganda and Union flags illegally put up because they might be booby trapped, so leave it to them to negotiate with the people who put them up
Which of course proves the DUP knows who does it, because it's them
This is England at work delaying and delaying real business to avoid facing facts
Over 60 countries threw England out and the English still insist it was they who are wrong
England cannot evolve, it's gone as far as it can go and the rest of us don't want anything to do with the place

I think it should have taken place in the last decade as we were taken out of the EU against our clear vote to remain. The SNP had a mandate for indyref2 but the devolutionist leadership did their Westminster masters bidding and instead started talking about men in skirts, toilets and rapists in women’s prisons.

  14. YouGov Westminster voting intention, field work 20 - 21 Sept, population sample 2,286.
    Headline; Labour 2% lead (+2)
    Lab 23%, Con 21%, RefUK 21%, LibDem 12%, Green 14%.

    Scottish sub-sample (199).
    Con 12%, Lab 15%, LibDem 11%, SNP 28%, RefUK 15%, Green 13%, British Union of Fascists 4%.

Electoral Calculus prediction model with Scottish finesse.
Labour 104 seats short of majority.
    Lab 222, Con 154, RefUK 106, LibDem 70, SNP 42, Green 33, Plaid 3, others 2.

Tories overtake RefUK as second largest party by some distance.
What if Labour sought to govern as a minority administration? This would avoid concessions to coalition partners; concessions which would include a second independence referendum. The Tories could pass the Labour budget with some amendments towards defence spending. It would protect their pweshios union. The Permanent State and the Security Services would be happy. Reform UK would wither on the vine (as they inevitably will as they are a one person vehicle and Nigel won’t be around forever).
Labour voters (and Tories to a lesser extent) would be livid, but Burnham would be protected by the Permanent State and rewarded lavishly in the future. Burnham is less a creature of the Security Services than Starmer, but that wouldn’t be difficult, Starmer literally had a senior MI5 officer as his first Chief of Staff.
