Fate of the 56
Just a quick note to let you know that I have a new article in The National, about the prospects for the Scottish parties in the June general election. You can read it HERE.
Just completed a Panelbase poll asking about voting intentions for the GE. Usual questions, including how I would vote in an Indy ref, when that should be, and when do I think Scotland will become independent. An unusual pair of questions included, though. Do I think 50% of the votes is enough to call a referendum? Do I think a majority of seats is enough to call a referendum? We already have a mandate, but that is beside the point.
The troll calls scottish people "jocks", advocates arming Leave campaigners, claimed Jo Cox's husband was a fascist, uses racial and ethnic slurs, pretends to be Labour (badly) while espousing far-right racist Neo-Nazi hate-speech, praises Theresa May and the tories and displays a perverted poisonous obsession with Scotland's First Minister
Anon's too dim to understand that even if there's a £50bn flow of trade between england and scotland in both directions, with one nation being 10 times smaller than the other, that trade is 10 times more important to the smaller nation.
Say I spend £3000 on microsoft products and microsoft pay me £3000 for finding bugs in their software. If that trade stops who do you think it has a bigger effect on anon?
The troll calls scottish people "jocks", advocates arming Leave campaigners, arbitrary deportations and public mutilations, claimed Jo Cox's husband was a fascist, uses racial, homophobic and ethnic slurs, pretends to be Labour (badly) while espousing far-right racist hate-speech, praises Theresa May and the tories and displays a perverted poisonous obsession with Scotland's First Minister & her predecessor
It wont be the 56 soon. More like the 50 or the 48. But at least its a step in the right direction. A stonking tory majority UK wide and a popular vote win for the unionists in Scotland should see unionref2 booted so far into the future it gets picked up on the sensors of the Starship Enterprise.

DeleteMay's too thick to realise telling SNP to get back to the day job is a zinger for SNP, no for her.
No wonder she's scared shitless to debate.
Will Theresa May show up to ITV's confirmed TV debate?

Following an announcement that ITV will host a TV debate on the General Election, MPs have challenged Theresa May to show up.
49% of Scottish trade goes to England. 50 billion quid. How would the Nat sis make up this deficit if ordered by the EU not to trade with England?
