Massive evidence of weapons of mass destruction related programme activities
A rare treat to see Melanie "Wrong But With Conviction" Phillips give this old classic a spin on Question Time last night. It received its first outing way back in President Bush's first State of the Union address to Congress after the Iraq invasion. Just for a few seconds he appeared to have a huge revelation up his sleeve that was about to turn the media narrative completely on its head - "already the Kay Report identified dozens of weapons of mass destruction..." Really? No, not really. Sadly for Bush, he hadn't finished his sentence, with the remaining words being "related programme activities". Which begged the obvious question - what exactly is a weapon of mass destruction related programme activity, and how precisely does it differ from an actual weapon?
James my old chum, over on PB it's about time you really went to town on old ChristinaD. We cannot let her brand of b*llshit go unchallenged much longer.
ReplyDeleteEvery piece of news that comes out of Scotland represents a 'potentially sticky situation for the nats', if one believes her.
And she ALWAYS seems to know of someone directly affected by a particular issue. Either she has the widest social circle (and most diverse social circle) of any of us internet nerds, or she's a liar.
She must be stopped before she lies so much that the lies consume us all!
You might think that, Ezio, I couldn't possibly comment...
ReplyDeleteWell, actually, I could, and it just so happens that I went off on one at Christina only about an hour ago! I seem to recall raising this issue of the extraordinarily versatile range of acquaintances she has about a year ago, but she normally responds to that kind of thing by saying "this is childish stuff and I'm going to bed". Her repertiore of underhand debating tactics is impressive, although to be fair to her I think there's a certain amount of self-delusion going on as well. (She also never seems to bear a grudge, which is to her credit.)
PS. You're not still banned from PB.com, are you?
I am indeed still banned, it would seem.
ReplyDeleteOne just cannot criticise Moderately Successful Author of Books Best Described As 'The Da Vinci Code for Stupider People' Sean Thomas:(
Ezio, you might be amused to hear that Christina has just come up with yet another of those personal anecdotes. Apparently, an "SNP voter" brought the most recent Conservative PPB round to Christina's house, and then proceeded to comment on what a "genuinely nice guy" Cameron is, and on how much the Tory message "resonated" with them.
ReplyDeleteI'm inclined to say Christina is not a liar, but two observations - a) even after all that the person in question can still be described as an "SNP voter" - RESULT, and b) what sort of world is this that Christina occupies where she and her mates from other parties arrange to have PPB evenings round at her place?
PS. Congratulations on your promotion, Ezio. PB.com's loss is the Vatican's gain. You certainly can't do any worse than Ratzinger.
