That doesn't mean it isn't offensive. I think it would be a damn good thing if there were an outcry every single bloody year and then it might penetrate some thick skulls.<br /><br />Telling people not to be offended because it's only a traditional bit of fun has been a standard method of deflecting outrage over some pretty outrageous behaviour, from gross racism to minor sexual assault.
