DeleteJohn Swinney is emerging as the SNP's most consequential leader of the modern era. Not only has he steadied the ship he has restored and made it better than it has been. Not only was the party conference a triumph, but also his speech cut through to ordinary Scottish people. Expect to see a rise in the polls.
ReplyDeleteI agree that he is surprisingly good. Things in the SNP are going a lot better with him than I expected. He has a good ministerial team and leadership that is working well for the party in terms of its strength and vitality.
DeleteHe deserves one heck of a lot of credit from the party membership for restoring party fortunes. This is not something to be sneezed at at all -- he makes it look easy, but in reality politics these days is very difficult indeed. Encouraging times for the SNP.
