The delay in installing Burnham is necessary because his retinue as Major of Greater Manchester isn’t right for the job as Prime Minister. Remember, when Starmer was only leader of the opposition, he already had a senior officer of MI5 (Sue Grey) as his Chief of Staff / handler. The permanent state will be working out who they can put in place beside Burnham to make sure he sticks to the script. We have sock puppets, not Prime Ministers in the old sense.

I agree.
"Accepting a nice big post-politics pay cheque is one thing. Allowing yourself to be used as a “better together” pawn in a televised game is surely quite another."
Once PM Andy is installed, will Swinney file that Section 30 request again? Or was once enough for show?
ReplyDeleteI see McGhie of the bbc on the "Mornings" radio programme opened up the programme asking if the Murrell case is closed for you? Should the snp be held accountable for a persons crimes!! What dross. It was the snp and its members that have been wronged. The bbc on their main web page has said Murrell has been sentenced to 5 years. At roughly the same time on Nolan on Radio Ulster the former DUP leader is found guilty of the most heinous child sex abuse. Guess what? At know time is the DUP being blamed nor is his crimes on the BBC main web page. You would think the bbc is prejudiced.
