That's rather like asking the Tories to park their conservatism for the duration of the parliament. <br /><br />There are many things on which the SNP and the Tories agree and can work together, but there is too much that separates us for it ever to be a formal coalition.<br /><br />It may be slightly easier in Wales where Plaid seems to only want some sort of federalism, and not real independence.<br /><br />I think that if the SNP got into bed with the Tories now in order to keep themselves in power, they would be as "finished" as I suspect the Liberals will be.<br /><br />Labour of course would do just that, although I'm not sure what it would do for thier credibility in Glasgow!
