VIDEO: The SNP's six best results in Election 2019

So just before I give the now-world-famous "Random Totty From Freedom Square" her camera back (and a million thanks to her for rescuing the situation after I bought a useless camcorder), I thought I'd record one more video to complete my series about the 2019 election.  See if you can spot the "deliberate mistake" in this one.

  1. Is good that President Jamez is growing in confidence and communicating spirit of national destiny with common touch.

Also we have Evita if he should snuff it.

  2. For me previous differentials (eg. 2015) are less important than circumstances when it comes to the wow factor. In that light, the two best results last week were East Dumbartonshire and Krcaldy and Cowdenbeath. Absolutely stonking. Really brought a smile to my face.

Amy Callaghan and Neale Hanvey (and their teams) deserve so much credit for overcoming the odds. LibDesm vote held steady elsewhere mind. Hopefully a fair suspension hearing will be carried out and Neale will e reinstated in the party.

  5. I' happy to be keeping Pete Wishart's seat for the SNP but not happy it's Pete Wishart holding it, when he said he would put his name forward for the Speaker's job he wasn't joking, although he claimed he was but that was only after he got the phone call to withdraw his statement or he was on his bike
Pete Wishart unfortunately is a person who would claim he wants Independence for the next hundred years as long as he could stay in Westminster claiming that

    2. Pete Wishart was told to shut his mouth over this because supporters and members of the SNP complained, this is not the first time Pete Wishart has been told to shut up

  6. I spotted the mistake, re Edin N & Leith, percentages were incorrect re 2015..tho it switches on screen to the Aberdeen result at the same time...good to see though all in all. This is why the Britnat media can't bring themeslves to even say 'SNP' right now and I see today are still giving the one Labour MP in Scotland a media platform, but no such attention for the SNP!

    1. It's funny, every time they use words like 'landslide', 'emphatic', 'triumphant', 'overwhelming' etc in relation to Johnson's win, this reinforces the SNP's much greater mandate.

We just have to tap them on the should each time and go...Erm, but remember... :-)

It's just utterly impossible to squirm out of.

  8. That's a pretty high level of anti-Scottish racism in England. 48% hate Scottish people so much they'd take away their right to vote, making Scotland an English colony it seems.

In Scotland, an overwhelming majority back a new indyref (52% ex DK). An emphatic, nay triumphant level of support it at 46%. Considerably greater than the Tories just got in the election certainly.

Well if the Labour Tories and Liberals can get knighthoods and Lordships and pensions for life without ever winning an election, or if Farage can go on to be a Peer of the realm of your overlords and masters they likely will, but the Scottish ones don't, just as no one in the SNP has accepted a wage rise since 2010 and the excess goes direct to charity
Of course your Labour Tories and Labour all have accepted their wage rises which means that the useless Britnats in your chosen parties who do nothing are actually paid more then the governing party

  16. It's interesting to note that the Scotland act only reserves matters concerning the 'union' to Westminster.

Naturally, matters concerning Scottish 'independence' (i.e. non-union) are not reserved.

This is of course in line with self determination. The union and life within it, including devolution, are ultimately reserved matters. Scotland cannot have devolution without English consent etc.

Independence is nothing to do with the union however, so not reserved. It's just not a matter for England/Wales/NI, but the Scottish people alone.

It would be better to have England accept the end of the union / recognise Scottish indy though, rather than be an aggressive power that might seek to occupy Scotland and violently subjugate its people as per current threats. Hence the sense in a Section 30.

To remove comments I have to remove them individually. It's not possible to 'ban' someone on this platform. But thank you for confirming that "Big Eater from Perth" is Peter in disguise - I'd been wondering why that person kept posting extremely random off-topic comments with a vague air of menace.

  19. After 31 January 2020 there will be no excuse for not nationalising our railway. The EU neo liberal con merchants are gone.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nationalisaiton of the railways is a UK government reserved matter.

The Scottish government can only attempt a public sector bid to go to competitive tender alongside other private sector bids.

This doesn't change on leaving the EU as it's UK reserved law.

      Delete
    2. So Labour, Libs and Greens were wrong in saying Scotlands Railway's should be brought into back into public ownership.

      Delete
    3. It's entirely up to them to seek for that to happen, however, rail privatisation / nationalisation is a UK reserved matter.

Selection of the service provider for local Scotrail services via competitive tender is the final decision of the Scottish government, and UK (and EU for now) competition rules must be followed in that selection. A public sector bid can be attempted.

The Scottish government don't have the power to just straight out nationalise though. The UK government must change the law here or devolve that power.

  21. Labour and the Greens play politics when they demand nationialisation of railways as it's a lie and they know it the Tories also lie about many things in Holyrood, they know what are reserved matters and what are not but they also know that punters are ill informed about what powers the Scottish Government actually do have so it suits them to try and make it look like the government is refusing to do something when they're not

If a governemt any government is doing well in office the only way to remove them is by concerted lying, fortunately because not everyone is stupid or chooses not to inform themselves even just a little bit it fails to work

The Scottish government would have the power to do many things in Scotland if it were not for the constraints of the blood sucking Union of England living off Scottish oil for the last fifty years or Scotland would have been in the same financial position as Norway

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oil is oil. The oil belongs to the UK. RuK would be entitled to more than half the oil revenue as it was discovered pre any devolution and in UK waters. It cannot be stolen due to a vote.

    3. I said that above.

"Selection of the service provider for local Scotrail services via competitive tender is the final decision of the Scottish government, and UK (and EU for now) competition rules must be followed in that selection. A public sector bid can be attempted."

That's not nationalisation though. Nationalisation would mean and end to tendering and the public section would of course be guaranteed to control things.

However, that's not possible as part of the UK as it's a reserved matter.

      Delete
    4. So like me we should nationalise the railways.

    5. If a nationalised Scotrail can be like e.g. Norwegian railways, then I absolutely support it.
