During the summer, Phantom Power (the maker of the amazing Nation and Journey to Yes series) very kindly offered to film a short trailer for Scot Goes Pop.  You can see the results below...

I see the Labour-Tory English nationalist government of brexit unity draws ever closer.

Brexit: Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn set to hold further talks

If this happens, it breaks UK labour from the Solway firth to Berwick, starting with the Labour 2017 voters north of Gretna. The 'Remain' soft unionist Labour part then follows suit.

Yet this is rapidly becoming the only way to stop a catastrophic economic and social disaster.

The ERG would love a hard brexit; they are never going to vote for May's deal. So the only way to prevent a crash out on the 29th is English nationalist unity.

Remember, Corbyn isn't British. He's English. He supports N. Irish reunification and has really peed off Scottish labour with his generally ambivalent stance on Scottish indy (he basically doesn't really care).

Corbyn walks upon England's mountains green.

    1. And before anyone says 'Labour would never stand with the Tories'...

Erm, BetterTogether was exactly that; a Lab-Con coalition of British nationalist unity.

Course they'll stand together if that seems the only way to protect the power/lifestyles to which they've become accustomed.

Especially right now given the Lib Dems and UKIP are dead. Who else are people going to vote for in England? Both can risk a voter backlash, apart from in Scotland.

    2. Yep, Labour are in coalition with the Tories in 9 councils across Scotland. There's little difference between them. Tell Labour followers that in England, and they go all silent, it's as if they are in denial.

    3. Corbyn wants brexit as much as Mogg or Farage does. No deal just isn't an option, so he (and assorted Labour MPs) will stand with May and the brexiters to get a deal through. English nationalist unity for the 'good of the nation'.

The only other option is cancelling his beloved brexit by revoking article 50. That happens and he'll be in his grave before brexit ever occurs.

Brexit is going to be damaging either way, and Corbyn figures the Tories will carry the can no matter what. So, Labour will get their turn at some point.

He doesn't want that turn to the no deal wasteland though; that would mean he'd have to govern properly, organising new trade deals and all that in the middle of a shitstorm. No, best get a deal through and leave all the hard work/brecession to the Tories, then take maybe his turn. Hell, with any luck, Labour won't even win the next election and he can just finish his career in opposition, but with his brexit dream come true. That would be the perfect outcome for him.

  2. Saw this last night, well done James. I just read that JK Rowling, and Tony Bliar are in talks about setting up a new political party, sounds like a joke, but think it was serious. Bizarre, wonder what their policies will be, what their manifesto will say!
Are they intending this as a UK wide party, who knows.

It's definitely England that is in desperate need of an new party.

  5. Cordelia you should sit on Junkers lap and pretend your panties are wringing. He earns 24k a month from the taxpayer. The Scottish Nat si Gov support him while our people attend food banks. Now put yer drawers in the wringer hen.

  7. Far too cheery. Psephologists are supposed to be moany old gits with knighthoods.

On which topic, one sees that mega-poll from the times of london has a confidence range of 35-43 seats for the SNP in any imminent election. Their published map only shows gains from labour. ACH the yooniperverttroll keeping his seat and the attempted rapist R Thomson MP keeping a firm grip on his seat. English politicos. what do they know? really?

That is a very sad poll for the working classes and the marginalised poor. The thought of The Tories and Tartan Tories being in power for around another decade is worse than premature ejaculation with Cordelia.
