Cammo may not know so, but he has no veto

Just a quick note to let you know that I have a new article at the International Business Times, taking issue with David Cameron's apparent belief that he gets to decide whether the people of Scotland are allowed to choose their own constitutional future. You can read it HERE.

  1. Very interesting article, James. I'd be interested to have your take on the date of the Holyrood elections after 2016 to avoid any clash with the Westminster elections in 2020. The Scottish government will have to take a decision before this parliament is dissolved next year. Do they go for a short three-year term running until 2019 or the longer five-year term until 2021? And what are the implications for a second referendum?

You will lose a second referendum but will probably go for a third and waste taxpayers money again. Such is the mentality of Nat sis losers. No respect for the people and democracy. Cameron should step in and stop your game, The Noes should take to the streets and remind you how they voted.

    1. Ah, but the 'silent majority' will never take to the streets because they ain't exactly proud of what they did last year. If a majority want another ref, so be it - it's called democracy.

I'm fed up of general elections, complete waste of time - why don't we just stop having one every five years?

    3. I take it you didn't read James's article including the point about the polls re Indy being essentially too close to call but at the very least we have halved the gap to only 2-2.5% in the 10months since September. It is obviously making you twitchy seeing your much vaunted majority get whittled away by a very successful SNP, the continuation of Yes civil society groups like Commonweal, Women for Indy, RIC and now a reviving umbrella for the remaining formal Yes groups around the place (Yes Scotland having been wound up). We are going nowhere and that gets up your Noes.

  5. What a pathetic, racist, knuckle-dragging twat you appear to be, Glasgow Working Class. One thing I can say with absolute certainty: Scotland WILL be an independent country within 10 years max. You just don't have the foresight nor the intellect to grasp that. Now, scurry back off to the hole you crawled out of.. :-)

  6. Cameron has no veto?

Yep - just you keep telling yourselves that the
Prime Minister of the country has no power over what happens in the country ;0)
