UKIP if you want to, but the Kipper's not for whipping

In what is possibly the most important poll YouGov have conducted since the historic red trousers one, we discover a fascinating paradox in the attitudes of two political parties towards a topical sexual proclivity...

Taken part in BDSM?

UKIP voters : 7%
Liberal Democrat voters : 16%

Would like to watch the film version of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'?

UKIP voters : 20%
Liberal Democrat voters : 16%

So who'd have thunk it - Kippers like to passively sit and watch, while Lib Dems prefer to live out their dreams. If only that applied to their manifesto pledges.

Be fair Alastair, it's clearly now THE LAW that anyone who writes about anything, anywhere, must refer to that bloody film at some point.
Must be taxing the creative powers of the Beano writers at this very moment...

  2. Read the books, were highly recommended by various people, a love story on the whole, I expect those who like BDSM will have a laugh. I shall wait until said film makes it to the TV, other wise I am not bothered. I imagine a lot of hype about nothing.
So Ukippers and Lib Dems eh, who would have thunk it.

  4. It's all about the relationship, and the poor guy's troubled upbringing, I've been informed.

Presumably more of the UKIPERs want to watch the film so they can have a deeper emotional understanding of LibDems.

  5. The saying used to be "There's nowt as queer as folks" but that is not PC since they hijacked the word queer for another use. So I suppose we have to say "There's nowt as peculiar as folks", but it just doesn't have the same ring of authenticity.

Can I also propose a campaign to come up with a new word to describe all sexual modes so we can get words like gay and queer back for use with their original meanings? I miss them!

    1. You can just use the catch acronym LGBTTTQQIA. I think that covers most proclivities bar hetro.
